A hundred mil to coach Saudi.

This is getting out of hand.

Man City used to pay him extra through off-shore accounts in addition to his usual salary, so I'm not surprised he's going that route. Bang average coach milking oil countries for a fortune, I ain't even mad.

And he's basically coaching Saudi for 100 million euros to win the Asian Cup, which they haven't won since 1996 and they're hosting in 2027. They hadn't had trouble qualifying for World Cups and with the expanded version in 2026 that should be almost a guarantee with any coach. And we don't expect them to make noise in World Cups either so that's status quo. I mean, maybe the goal it to get out of the group stage?

It would have made more sense if he got paid to coach a team like Oman, who had never made a World Cup and it would be a big achievement in 2026.

Lots. There are many better coaches Saudi would want over Mancini. For example, Zidane was reportedly offered nearly 200M euros to coach Qatar at their world cup and he said no.

Well it had to be exposed at some point because Saudi Arabia needs to know what the going rate is.

Yeah....that sounds like a much, much more reasonable amount of bribe money than what was initially reported.

When you look at the state of the Premier League none of this comes as a shock.

this might be the worst Germany team I've seen in my lifetime. It's not just that they lose 4-1 to Japan, it's that the result is more than justified ... Japan hardly seemed to break a sweat and wasted several good chances. Flick totally seems to be in over his head.

On the flip side, I can't remember a Japan team with more quality and depth. Really cool team with the likes of Mitoma, Endo, H. Ito, Kubo, Kamada, Tomiyasu and so on.

also, you kind of have to admire Southgate's ####housery. Having both Maguire and Henderson on for the full 90 in a Euro qualifier ... I ain't even mad, that's amazing

Hansi, the CSA is on line 1.
You'll get paid pennies on the deutschmark but you'll be at the WC in 34 months if you gut it out.

Austria winning 3-1 in Sweden ... that's pretty much the ticket to the Euros. Well done.
