Except we are talking Hanifin and not Lindholm. So Benn won’t waive nmc. So then you are looking at Faksa plus prospect(s) plus pick(s).
Benn has a $9.5 million cap hit and the Stars are in practically the same cap situation as the Flames. A deal would have to match cap coming in and going out, so I don't see how the Flames could do it.
Perhaps a 3rd team get get involved to take on cap, but they aren't going to be doing it for nothing, so you have to add more value to the trade just to facilitate that.
Benn is a non-starter in any trade discussions I think.

No change as of today either. I have come into this thread and said that Flames will not be making any major changes to the roster. We will be running it back with this roster to open the season.
Oh one thing- I anticipate Huberdeau will be named Captain.
At the Italian open this morning Mangiapane mentioned his shoulder is 100% healed and he's ready to go. The media availability should be up soon I believe.
