For some reason I already thought Ackbar was dead but then remembered that atrocity came in the sequels.
He has a cameo in Ahsoka, I had to re watch it to make sure I got full enjoyment.

Thats the spirit!
Although I am getting SAG-AFTRA notices that we're getting dangerously close to becoming considered scabs...

Or better yet...Ezra and 'Thrawny' have become besties.
Thrawn convinces Ezra of the benefits of Imperial order and the downfalls of Rebel 'freedom' as well as the drawbacks and deficiencies of the Jedi Order.
So Ezra gets back into the Galaxy and is not at all who Sabine and Ahsoka were expecting.
Kanan can come back but he has to wear a Geordi LaForge visor for no particularly good reason.
Lets shake it up!

Don't care too much for the Star Trek reference but I would be all for Ezra coming back all pro-Imperial and all that. I'm expecting them to somehow incorporate the Grysk species into Thrawn's story in order to make sense of all this.

Could you imagine 'Fascist Ezra?'
Oh it would be great.
Ahsoka would probably half-heartedly try and convince him of the error of his ways, fail and then quit.

Honestly, if Ezra comes back as the villain that would be an outstanding development for this show.

I agree, that would be fun. Ezra could be the show's big bad (with the jedi being "grey" characters who we're just fooled into thinking are villains at the start), eventually leading to his redemption at the conclusion of the show, like with Vader in ROTJ. And Thrawn can be the overarching big bad boss that extends into the upcoming film.
Sprinkle in the witches of Dathomir along the way and whatever else awaits in the new galaxy and you've got a fun, eventful show that can pack in excitement every week.

I'm not familiar with Starkiller, but it's being speculated that Filoni may use the new galaxy as a way to bring him into canon as well.

I demand back-end residuals tho! Do I have to walk a picket line?
Do I have to fly to LA to do it or can I do it locally? I could picket in front of a video store....if I can find one.

Ezra as Marrok is interesting, but it would kind of make the whole quest to get to another galaxy moot for our heroes so I don't think that's it. Plus it wouldn't make a lot of sense given Ezra's history with the dark side.
Starkiller would be a cool deep cut.
One theory I read is it's Barriss Offee who was a friend of Ahsoka's but betrayed her and the Order. That could be interesting.

Great first two episodes, I think the two dark jedi have stole the show so far. Can't wait to see where their story leads, and man it's such a shame that Rey Stevenson isn't here to see the praise he's getting for his character.
This show so far has more actual "Star Wars" vibes than the any other Disney+ show so far (Other than Mando seasons 1 and 2, which have their own identity in the bounty hunter realm). I'm surprised how much love Andor is getting in this thread, I found it watchable as a sci-fi spy thriller but it hardly felt like Star Wars to me at all. No Hero's Journey or Mythic elements to any of it, but hey different strokes.
Also, as a Rebels fan I have to say I actually think the casting for Sabine is great. Hera on the other hand.. that's going to take some getting used to. Chopper was fantastic.

That was another fairly minor gripe I had. I understand that the yellow pants, bomber jacket, leather goggles flightsuit thing (while looking SUPER weird in a pseudo-futuristic setting) is her costume from the cartoon. But this is not a cartoon. She presumably hasn't been wearing the same clothes for 20+ years. They could have busted that out once as a nice nod to the previous show but literally every scene? Nah nah.
Didn't have any issue with the performance though. It's kinda tough to do a live action Twi'lek credibly.

Seeing as though Dave Filoni wrote this whole show, I'd be pretty shocked if the big bad turns out to be Ezra. But it would be an interesting storytelling twist - and probably make diehard Rebels fans very angry.

I'm really liking this. This, Andor and Mando really have the feeling of old Star Wars, and there is an inherent campiness in that, but some great epicness. They are the products that seem to understand the western-samurai-fantasy-space mashup better than most of the movies.

Well I hope they have wardrobes in their personal quarters with 30 copies of the same outfit like in the Simpsons.
Otherwise gross, man.

Don't forget Rogue One. It also had that feel. It was the first to get star wars right post-Disney's acquisition.
Rewatched it out of the blue yesterday and it was even more enjoyable after seeing the Andor series. Donnie Yen deserves more credit for his performance, he is outstanding.
Edwards and co. got the menacing and cutthroat nature of the imperial elite down and Vader's scenes still hit as hard as ever.
If only they had their current deep fake guy back then to do Tarkin's scenes. It would have completed it.
I would say Mando season 3 didn't really have it though. They kind of lost the Way in that season. It was so inconsistent eposode to episode and not cohesive as a whole. It rushed parts that needed more time and love. The first two seasons certainly though.
HM to Book of Boba Fett episode 6.

I love the idea of Sam Witwer coming back to play a live action role as Starkiller (detuned of course). I mean the man loves the Star Wars universe and was incredible any time he did voice work for Darth Maul. Any more Sam Witwer is welcome in my book.
