This was expected, he was a dead man the instant he rebelled if he didn't succeed. I am surprised he gave up pushing Moscow without a fight, it was bizarre.

In addition to other things that may have happened behind the scenes, he didn't really get the support I'm guessing he was expecting. Probably realized it wasn't going to work and then started backpedaling.

Really interesting to see what happens now with Wagner. I wouldn’t like my life odds if I was a member. They don’t seem to forgive so easily in Russia.

So poorly planned and coordinated, shot in the dark and hope for support. A coup succeeds if you can guarantee you can cut off head/secure the existing leadership in the first day, and you have the support to do execute that. Pringles had neither and he still decided to go ahead with his rebellion.

Yes, but why? Telling the government who you do or don't support in what is ultimately a private ballot is baffling.

I have to wonder if he was actually on board, though? He was listed on the passenger list, but that might have been a decoy or something? I can't imagine why he would fly into Russia as a listed passenger, knowing the price on his head. Or maybe he was just a total idiot.

The mixture of a "plane crash" and some guys having some quibble unrelated to anything going on in this thread is kinda mind bottling. Is there any mods around that can clean this up?
