You don’t see a ton of home runs with a exit velo of 88mph.

I feel like Vladdy should’ve scored on the Springer hit with two out. Must have given up on it, yeah you are up five but would love this team to play a harder game, especially early. Lots of innings left.

Amazing.
At best, I think it is a bang bang play at second…despite what Chapman apologist Buck Martinez said.
We are a mess out there.

Well that’s as ugly an inning for Chapman that you will see. Grounds out weakly to end a great ending, misses the play in the first out and then throws the ball to the wall allowing two runs to score.
Now Vladdy screws one up. Man this team can drive you crazy.

Agree I’m not sure you get him and you have to have awareness that there is just nobody left to back that play up. Eat the ball, get the next out, don’t give crap away.

You would expect a gold glove winner to not miss a throw by that much but with 2 outs and with their crappy bottom of the order coming up it was not worth the risk

I do wonder what Chapman's contract will look like. I think a team like the Yanks are still going to back the Brink's up for him. But that contract won't age well. His defense is slipping and his bat is so hot and cold that will only get more cold the more he ages. Probably 5-110 would be my guess.

Agree. I think a good throw is a close play but wasn’t a guarantee. A low EV play in my opinion.

Absolutely not bringing him back. He’s going to be overpaid by a ton because of the weak free agent class.
Next year we could see Barger, Martinez, Schneider, or a free agent placeholder at third.

When Ryu is on, it’s kind of mesmerizing to watch him pitch. You don’t see a lot of guys like him anymore.
