Shot a 78 on the weekend, with a quad on 18! That's my best round at Priddis so far.

Two foursomes each hole and keep the other score.

Not a bad deal. Two teams spend $13K, take home $40K. Not a bad day at the course at all.

I had to look it up for curiosity....

55k they could split with your colluding scheme.

I don't think there are even any recognized official golf rules for scrambles. I predict this to be a huge #### show!

Why? There will be spotters likely and there’s only 5 groups. Not hard to manage.

The club will certainly have rules laid out though. Things like being able to improve your lie within 12 inches no closer to the hole, etc. I’ve played on a couple 4 person scrambles recently and they had rule sheets with the score cards.

What would the winning score be like in something like that? We played in a parent child state 2 man scramble tournament where the winning score was 57 on a very tough par 72 course. Dad was a d1 golfer, kid is a top junior in the state. Is a stacked 4some going to get into the 40s?

Mid to low 50s depending on how they set the course up. There is only one "reachable" par 4.

Was lucky enough to play Bearspaw Ridge today, and dammmmmmn those are the best greens I've seen in Calgary.

A senior member of my golf course passed away on the 11th hole yesterday. Not sure if it was on the green or the fairway, just that he dropped dead and his playing partners tried to revive him while waiting for the ambulance to come. They think it was a heart attack. Francis was 80 years old.

Was also a big day for one our members of my golf course. Bruce LeMessurier got 2 Holes-In-One in the SAME ROUND! The odds of this accomplishment are 67 million to 1. He got them on holes #3 and #17. Wow!

Anyone know the best "end of year" tournaments to join? I mean the fun ones.

Does anyone want to register for a tournament at Heritage Pointe on Sunday August 27 with me? I'm not a good golfer and it doesn't look like this is a competitive event so I'm just looking to go out and have some fun and drink a bunch of beers. I can register for $130 per person.

The Winston Labour Day Classic. Very good time; it’s a three day event.

Hit a hell of a 9 iron yesterday that pitched about 12 feet past the hole and rolled back to 6 inches, so close to an eagle. Other than that, just mostly solid if unspectacular play, which is what I'm after usually. I haven't been putting well lately, sinking nothing long and lag putting kind of questionable... but if there's one part of my game that doesn't really bug me when it's not working it's putting because it doesn't lose me balls and I know it'll come and go.

It was so nice to play in sunny-yet-not-scorching-hot temperatures after the past couple of weekends where it's felt less like golf and more like survival.

Played at Cascata in Vegas and worked with a really good caddie there (shout out to James). Gave me some really good advice in approaching my game, especially putting. Really tough course and some of the shots gave the whole foursome fits. Was low man with an 85, but it was a real insightful round and gave me some things to take away in my shot preparation, especially for putting (trust, confidence, and more confidence). Went to Chimera a couple days later and shot a 74 applying the tips he gave me specific to my game. Got back to Phoenix and played in a three-day event at the home course. Carded a 75, 69 (my first 6X in 11 months of play), and a 74 for 2nd low gross. Don't think I would have done that without the caddie's observations a few days earlier. Still have a problem with starting poorly (was 4, 2, and 4 over through the first three holes) and just not ready to score mentally. Have to really work on coming to the course ready to play. Must be taking my cues from the Flames!

Went out to Riverside in Edmonton this weekend and had a good front 9 then completely fell apart on the back. It's usually the opposite for me so that was weird, just started pulling or pushing all my irons & wedges and couldn't land anything on the green. Shot a 46-52. That 52 could've been a 60 easily as I had 4 shots that went into the trees and they all kicked out lol. The fourth one was on a 230y drive and it went left into the trees, only to make a huge crack sound and kick right onto the fairway. My buddy looked at me, said #### you and walked away hahaha.

Always good times.
