Was he any good though? Seemed like he just talked a lot on Twitter.
Probably didn't help his comments are the opposite of an endorsement saying well we can't fire Jones because of the coaching cap.
Glad Jones won that power struggle he's the gift that keeps on giving.

If I didn't know any better I would think Katz owns the Eskimos as well. What a tire fire.

So it has become knowledge that the reason DD didnt put Stevens in for Maier on Saturday was that Stevens was dealing with back spasms all day.
DD gets a pass in this case IMO.

Still I'm not sure Stevens is the solution. That said we won't know until he's given an opportunity. Even if he can be Streveler decent as a passer it may be better than Maier when he's not playing well.

I still think Stevens should have at least 1-2 series a game, with his own running package. A change of pace, and something you can do to generate some momentum for the offence.
Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. But you have nothing to lose right now.

They have run some packages with him especially when they get closer to the score zone.
They even ran that trick play that failed when he dropped that pass.
I guy like Stevens probably won't do a lot when inserted because of his skillset the playbook changes you need to design a system like they run in Baltimore for example for that hybrid QB.
If he has the arm strength is might work running the read option but not sure that is something Dave believes in. With the backs we have it might actually provide us the best chance to win, just not sure they have time to install a new system now.

He is injured although its a minor injury if he signs in the CFL he looses his pension and some money I believe.
Plus he sucks, he is a gadget QB.

Stamps have the 2nd highest man games lost this season behind Ottawa
Quote:
Calgary Stampeders — 124 man games lost (13.8 per game)
The Stampeders have had to fight through a number of key injuries this season, most notably to star running back Ka’Deem Carey, who missed seven games with a toe injury before returning for the team’s loss to the B.C. Lions this past week. Other impact players who are currently out of the lineup with long-term injuries are receivers Jalen Philpot and Malik Henry, defensive end James Vaughters, returner Peyton Logan, and special teams ace Silas Stewart.

Also...
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have named Dru Brown as their starting quarterback for Friday’s game against the Calgary Stampeders as Zach Collaros continues to recover from a neck injury.

I think we have a chance to beat the bombers. Brown isn't playing against a high school defence like last week!

I think Hamilton’s kicker dropped a bundle on a betting site calling for an Elks win.

It's kind of scary actually. Ford is a mobile QB and Monson's defenses have struggled mightily against mobile QB's. Could be trouble.
