For the record when we arrived on Friday it was no longer beeping. And the green light was back on.
Trying to source a large enough ladder to check it out next time we’re out..

I got someone to remove it and move it to somewhere less difficult to access. On an upstairs floor a CO2 detector can be somewhere on the wall vs ceiling. I chose a boxy looking one and mounted it close to the thermostat on the wall. Now it just kinda looks like a humidifier control. I can comfortably access it with a step stool now.

Inevitably I just pull it off the ceiling for the night and get to it in the morning. They should let you snooze them for 12 hours or something.

The one in our baby's room went off a couple nights ago.
Trying to go in at 2am, disconnect it and not wake a 14 month old was like playing Mission Impossible.
I got it done though. He sat up and looked at me, then fell right back asleep
Probably thought it was a dream.

It's amazing the stuff they will sleep through. And then the tiniest things that will wake them up if it happens at the wrong time in their sleep cycle.

Nice. I wonder if their fight or flight reaction is different. I feel like I've woken my kids up more doing some pretty silent tip toe #### in their room, than some very loud accidental event. I haven't tracked it though.
Like...
Tiptoe, sound of pillow or blanker for sibling:
"Daddy... why are you here?" + Wake up
vs
Crashing sound just outside the door or in room:
"Daddy... too loud!" + Rolls over and goes back to sleep.

Does anyone know where to get the Moen single handle handle with the attachments for the inside for the bathtub. I'm getting zero luck at Home Depot and Lowes and that's if I'm lucky enough to get help.
I just bought the handle but the crappy plastic grinds onside and breaks apart so it's missing that white ring piece inside.

Upload an image to a site like imgur or postimages, then copy and paste the image link. Best to keep the image size around 640x480 otherwise it’s messes up the website.

Moen and Delta are often pretty good at complementary replacement parts. Maybe email Moen why the part number and ask if they know how to buy what you're looking for?
EDIT: Worst case, you buy the piece, but it still would be easier to just email them to ask IMO.

Reason: typo: complementary, not complementing

A white plastic piece goes inside and no one seems to be able to find it for me.

I assume it's a piece like this:
https://www.homedepot.ca/product/moe...ers/1000515571
You should be able to find those fairly easily even in the big box stores, though you could try somewhere like Benner as well. If you take the face plate off you might be able to see a product number, then you can search the Moen site for it. They'll mail you free ones.

What kind of handle did you buy? I think the "white ring" you're talking about is the temperature stop, which isn't actually required.
The handle should be complete with a black plastic adapter like this: https://www.homedepot.ca/product/moe...kit/1000838336
That screws into the end of the cartridge stem; that's what the threaded hole is for. Your handle then attaches to the adapter.
Otherwise you can install a knob like this: https://www.amazon.ca/Moen-Chateau-P...dp/B001338UC8/
It screws directly into the cartridge stem, no adapter needed.

The bottom plastic one is the one I am directly screwing into the cartridge but when I screw it all the way in it doesn't turn all the way and when loosened after a use the plastic snaps and breaks.
So I am assuming I need that black stem piece to attach and put the plastic knob after?

I'm almost thinking you're better off buying a new shower handle than looking for the part at this point...

So just get a kit like this with the adapter and handle like this as timun posted?
https://www.homedepot.ca/product/moe...5549?rrec=true
This is what happens to the plastic handle each time I've put one in it snaps.
