Let's keep this thread about Bergeron - there are plenty of other threads to talk about Lindholm and trade proposals.

Great player.I always like players that become known as the best in something a little atypical, not the best scorer, most points kind of guy; but something important and less common like his 2 way play.

With zero cap space, and few prospects and draft picks, I don’t see how Boston can improve this year, or the near future.

They already are down Hall, Bergeron and Bertuzzi.

There is no question that they can use Lindholm and Hanifin.

But I don’t see anything close to a way to make that work.

I think Boston is best off tearing it right down and rebuilding.

Too bad their playoff run ended so early this year after such a great regular season. I actually felt bad for him.

Heir apparent goalie who's only 24
Really nice 1-3 D men all locked up long term
Probably the best goal scorer in the league for the next 5 years
At least a few more good years of Marchand, who just dipped below ppg for the first time in 7 years
No bad contracts

You can rebuild for a loooong time and get maybe half of the bullets above.

Cupboards are bare, but they could always move a goalie...though that probably isn't a fit for the few teams with good C's potentially available.

Incredible 2 way player and first ballot Hall of famer.
Yes Boston is in trouble does Ulmark have another historical season in him? Losing your top two centers and captain.

Even with Marchand and Pasta you are not making the playoffs in the Atlantic if your top centre is Zacha. Swayman is their big trade piece but it doesn't work for us, we don't need him. I am looking at the Jets here if I am Boston and I want to avoid rebuilding. They are going to have to move Helly, they can use Swayman. So the question is what does Boston have to add to him to pry Scheifele out of Winnipeg because he wants to move on as well. I think there is a deal to be made there, or at least a much higher probability than the Bruins acquiring Lindholm.

I think they should rename the selke after him though. Incredible to only have one minus season in close to 20 seasons

Sorry, I should have been clearer: Bourque, Bucyk, and Bergeron are top three all time in Bruins games played and points. Esposito and Orr obviously were greats too, just didn't play as many games in Boston.

Easy there. They will be just fine.

Honest mistake, and centers be damned, but you appear to be forgetting the return of Milan ####ing Lucic?

Congrats and RIP of course to both Bergeron and of course Wade Boggs.

That will use up quite a bit of that space.

Posters have them moving in a net $7M of players.
