It's because they've burned their bullpen, and this goes back to pulling their starter early because he lost it after the sticky stuff.

Sure did. Between an unnecessarily early pull of Kikuchi, mediocre efforts from Manoah and Gausman, no add on runs to get out of leverage situations, and an extra innings game tonight with a pretty short start from Berrios, we’ve burned through our bullpen pretty badly.
