Not very often Martin is completely out to lunch but he’s completely out to lunch on this tires thing. Maybe he’s just sad his buddy George didn’t make it out of Q1.
Because if tire rules in qually are “artificial” then so are the tire rules in the race, the engine component limits, the restrictions on tires for the weekend, the wind tunnel restrictions, the testing restrictions. In fact, any and all rules are artificial.
It’s actually a little bit surprising what a stupid take it was from him. He’s usually pretty on point.
It’s the same for everyone and isn’t at all gimmicky, like reverse grids. I hope they keep it.
