Agree, these 2 are next prospects to vote for me.

Ben Jones had better production than Pettersen and is quite a bit larger.
Ben Jones is the same age as Martin Pospisil and has had way better production.
Ben Jones is maybe being slept on a bit, just because he's a tad older, or wasn't drafted by the Flames.
Ben Jones has even played in the NHL a bit, unlike Pettersen and Pospisil.
They're all solid performers in the AHL, but are running out of time.

At this point in the prospects rankings, we're basically throwing darts. Sergeev is a good goalie prospect, and a good goalie can have the greatest impact on a team's fortunes.

7th round draft picks playing college hockey probably don't receive a lot of viewings or recognition from fans. However, one publication, The Hockey News ranked the top 100 NCAA prospects last summer, and had Sergeev #8 overall, ahead of Coronato
Quote:
8. Arsenii Sergeev, G, UConn: Maybe I'm higher on Sergeev than most, but from the NAHL to USHL, all this kid has done is impress. The Calgary Flames pick arrives in Connecticut after earning USHL goalie of the year honors.
9. Matt Coronato, RW, Harvard: Another Calgary Flames prospect, Coronato was who we expected him to be as a freshman, putting up more than a point per game for the Crimson. How much better will he be after another summer of training?
87. Jake Boltmann, D, Notre Dame: After being blanked as a freshman, Boltmann found his footing last year and put up 13 points from the blueline. The Calgary Flames pick has also really helped out the Notre Dame penalty kill.

The Flames have Wolf waiting in the wings, waiting for an NHL opportunity. But don’t forget about Sergeev, who’s quietly putting together a really promising resume.

I voted Stromgren, but Reggie and Canada 02 are right, Sergeev is being wrongly forgotten. He needs to get on the list as soon as possible.

Stromgren then Solovyov, although these two are really close. After that it gets interesting as lots of players in the next band which have lesser NHL potential.
