				 Calgarypuck Prospect Ranking 2023 - Round 10

Welcome to the annual Calgarypuck Prospect Poll!
As per usual ...

1. Rank the prospects as you like. Upside, chances, or trade value
2. I will try and do one a day which should get us to rookie camp range
3. Graduates and/or runoffs will be determined in each case
4. Please don't complain that the polls are going to deep. We go until all the prospects are ranked, so don't vote if you don't want to.

Solovyov until he's gone. He's an injury away from a call up methinks.

It feels at this stage like people are voting off of draft position as opposed to actual progression/potential.
I have a hard time seeing how Kuznetsov, Stromgren (or Ronni next) are ranked higher than some others (Solovyov, Klapka, Ciona, Chechelev, etc.).

I think at this point, it just gets harder, so I suppose -sure-everyone is going to have to hang their hat on something. but as someone who voted Kuznetsov (and admittedly I didn't watch the Wranglers much) I did factor 'potential' in the sense that he played in the AHL at 20- at a few years younger than Solovyov, Klapka etc- that's not trivial in player projection

Stromgren because I want him to succeed. Big, soft hands, decent skating. Seems to have the package so if he can put it all together that would be huge for us.

Crazy that we still have quite a few prospects with NHL potential at this stage.
We may lack bluechippers but we definitely have depth.

Solovyov. I trust the posters that have watched him play rather than going by draft position and hockeydb.

Voted solovyov as I feel like he’s the closest to NHL ready. If we’re talking pro production though, when does Emilio Pettersen get consideration? He had the best numbers by far in the AHL this year. Pospisil has also produced well in the AHL when he hasn’t been injured and also plays the type of style that would be great in the bottom 6. Those two guys are gonna get votes from me soon

Arsenii Sergeev will be the number one at UConn this season. Might be in for a big year.
At this point in the prospects rankings, we're basically throwing darts. Sergeev is a good goalie prospect, and a good goalie can have the greatest impact on a team's fortunes.
