Before last year it was Huberdeau and kucherov being debated as the best wingers

That was then, this is now.

You also can't live in the future yet some seem to be writing him off already.

As for me I'm looking forward to a new season! Who knows what it will bring.

Living constantly in the now is how you lose players for pennies on the dollar. Trust Huby to bounce back.

Huberdeau is going to be a savvy pick in hockey pools this year.

I was thinking of that. Take him in a later round and it could potentially payoff. Unfortunately, the pool I usually go in uses a cap limit, so probably won't work in that case.

I love how this is forgotten/downplayed by many here.

I hope it’s complex almost like how Duchene to Ottawa was complex. Girard, bowers (1st), 1st rounder (bow byrum), a 2nd and a 3rd. Not getting that but patience and creativity is good.

We are living in the present.

You are correct, who knows what it will bring.

But looking at stats 5 years ago may make you feel better, but it’s not the best predictor of next season for a players Hubby’s age.

The Flames aren’t losing Hubby.

Players who score 55 points before beginning an 8-year, $84M contract aren’t in demand any year, much less in this cap strapped year.

Yes he may bounce back to some higher level, it almost impossible for him not to. The question is to what level?

Yeah, I do think it’s very likely Huberdeau bounces back, especially with the new coaching and attempt at more offence.

Ice time to the amount he had in Florida would add 6. What do you mean by situations?

Playing with linemates who he actually has chemistry with, and on the left wing where he’s comfortable….

I thought he looked good with Lindholm at the start of the year, but they were having too much success for Sutter’s liking.
