The notion that Charlie is going to win 30 slams is laughable at this point because he's at... 1.
You want to talk about Korda's health being a barrier - and that's true of everyone, it derails a ton of players who would otherwise have long stretches challenging for majors - how about Charlie? He's already had a few significant injuries and he's barely out of the gates.
Even if at age 20 he was 100% perfectly healthy and never shown signs of his body breaking down or being a problem it would still be madness to project that continuing for a whole career... Novak has been an absolute anomaly and even he has spent years battling a bad elbow.

So this is the tournament that will make the difference between Alcaraz winning 30 slams? Not just injuries, all kinds of things can turn sideways. He looks pretty good but geez what an overreaction. Remember when Rory was one of only three golfers to have 4 majors by 25?

Alcaraz is already at least 3 levels ahead of anyone in his age range, and he still has a lot of room to grow (just imagine how scary he could be if he unlocks the servebot achievement). I remember at the start of grass season there was a lot of talk about how this isn't a good surface for him, and here we are, he won Queens and is in the final here. His game is so complete, he has great mental strength, he seems to have that drive for greatness that it seems many in his age range lack. I just think its a perfect storm of an obscene talent who, combined with his competition level being meek, has a pretty clear path right now.
It's definitely an overreaction (why be reasonable lol?), but also not really. You watch him and you watch the other guys in his age range and he's almost not even playing the same sport he's so much better than them. If I'm supposed to believe guys like Sinner or Rune can really stop him, I don't see it. Nice players, but they don't have the kind of ceiling to stop him. As I said, Berdych level, which is still great, but Berdych rarely stopped big 3 guys from winning majors.

The last time these two played Alcaraz was the favorite and I think the pressure got to him causing him to cramp. This time everyone expects Djokovic to win, I think we will see a much different Alcaraz than the one in Paris. He will be playing much more relaxed

I just don’t think it’s that predictable so early on. Fed, Djoker, and Charlie were all outside the top 100 when they turned 18. For the first 4 years of Fed’s pro career some even labeled him a wasted talent, until it finally clicked. I’m pretty sure nobody had Djoker in their goat potential list before he turned 24.

Ons looking a little tight this morning. I hope she can relax and get into her groove. Otherwise I’m not optimistic.

That set disappeared from Ons in a hurry.

Yes not looking good for her. It’s her lack of mental toughness today for sure.

Not a good start to set 2 either for Ons. Just looks tighter than a snare drum out there.
Edit: Great comeback from 40-love down to break and get back on serve. Can Ons consolidate?

Ons might have flipped the switch here.
Edit: Or maybe not.

Let's give Vondrousova some credit here, she is not missing very much and playing a fine match, but Ons is putting up very little resistance.

Tough one for Ons today, but great match from Marketa Vondrousova. Those lefty women from Czechia know how to win at Wimbledon.

Watching Jabeurs speech is rough. I hope she wins a Wimbledon title before she retires, but I'm not sure she will ever get a better chance than today

Yeah, at least Bianca and Emma can rest easy knowing they have that one grand slam in the trophy case. Another person searching for that elusive slam is Jessica Pegula and speaking of letting great chances slip away...

It's too bad we couldn't add Bouchard and Fernandes and Milos to that list

yeah, that's tough. To beat Andreescu, Kvitova, Rybakina and Sabalenka and then lose to someone not named Swiatek in the final.

By the time the US Open rolls around, Ons and Genie will be the same age (29). Obviously, Ons is always a strong contender for a slam while Genie is on the periphery of tennis these days. As far as Leylah is concerned, her biggest struggle these days is her ranking and facing tough opponents early in tournaments. She's still very young (going to turn 21 at this year's US Open) and if she can figure out her serve and turn it into more of a weapon, I think her best tennis is still ahead of her.
Milos is the poor man's Delpo, a guy who had a very good career that was severely hampered by injuries. Delpo won his slam against Fed, Milos got into a slam final by beating Fed, but losing to Andy Murray.
