A soy boy is the modern progressive male with deep insecurity issues, as their value system has left them bereft of masculine qualities. Using therapy-talk to inflict emotional abuse on a woman is peak soyboyin'.
The term came from the Buzzfeed try-guys, who famously took a testosterone test and they all scored lower than a typical 70 year old man. So the internet christened them as the original Soy-Boys (due to the relationship between soy and lowered testosterone levels). A few years later, one of the four try-guys was booted from the group for being abusive to his wife. This was all hilarious to me.

Your soy needs more irony to be palatable.

Maybe it's all the soy talking, but I'm not sure I've ever found wife abuse all that hilarious.

So are all progressive men soy boys. Do I have to be a proud boy to be a man?
I think the guys who hate gay men are the most insecure men I have met. I think most of them get funny feelings inside when they see an attractive guy

Everyone knows that men who talk about testosterone, claim to be more masculine and apply broad labels are the least insecure people.

What will it take to acknowledge that Hollywood and celebrity culture is full of status-obsessed narcissists? And that anyone - man or woman - who seeks out a celebrity as a partner is unlikely to wind up in a healthy, mutually-supportive, and enduring relationship?

Testosterone is a real thing that has real impacts on a person's life. TMI when I was in high school, I had a football injury that damaged one of my testicles (google testicular torsion), and it permanently impacted my body's ability to make testosterone. This wasn't a factor until my early thirties, but oh man, there is an insane difference after getting Testosterone Replacement Therapy. Those bimonthly shots in the ass make a big difference in my life.

Maintaining testosterone levels is critical for healthy aging. Once testosterone declines, lots of things go with it. TRT is great, but the first step should be natural prevention (assuming two functional testicles): take cold showers, eat healthy food and work-out like an animal.

I'm not big on that manosphere stuff, but avoiding sedentary living and lots of processed food is pretty key generally speaking.

Yeah, drop the cold showers from that advice and it’s basic healthy living stuff. Eat less and move more.

If cold showers are the ticket to manliness then they can keep it.
Hot showers till I die!! I pay for the water and the heat and by God I'm going to use them!

If you just eat well, suntan your butt-hole, and exercise, and you pretty much cover all your bases.
It's like the healthy living #### sandwich. Some good stuff on the outside, but the interior has you asking WTF you are eating.
