I dunno I feel like that's an unfair advantage especially given Novak wasn't aware of it.

This is not the Patriots spying on another team running plays prior to the game. I don't know what advantage you might take aside from maybe seeing if there is some kind of tick or movement that Novak does that indicates whether he is serving wide or going down the 'T'. I'm sure Charlie has plenty of people on his team pouring through existing video looking for any kind of edge. Also, with on-court coaching being adopted, his team can give him real-time instruction on things to look for that Novak is doing.

So, I'll go back to what I said earlier, much ado about nothing.

the only advantage I could see coming out of that would be if they somehow captured private conversation audio. otherwise, there's millions of hours of both match and practice video of Djoker out there to consume that will provide the same value, unless they think he's in the middle of changing his swing or tactics

That looked like Milos Djokovic to close out the first set. Boom-boom-boom.

Feels like Djokovic isn't even trying it there. He takes the first set.

Just way too many unforced errors from Sinner as Novak breaks again early in set 2.

Another early break for Djokovic in set 2. This game is trending towards a damp squib.

Novak just called for hindrance as he let out a yell after a backhand down the line that he thought was going to be a clean winner. Sinner got to it though.

Edit: And now called for a serve clock violation in the same game.

The match umpire woke up and chose violence.

Still Djokovic managed to hold. And that really is the difference, Novak more efficient in converting BPs while Sinner flubs his BP opportunities.

I didn't expect Sinner to win but I was hoping for better than a straight sets defeat.

I don't even think Novak is playing all that great, but Sinner isn't forcing him to raise his level thus far.

251-1 in slams when having a two sets to love lead. Jurgen Melzer I think is forever going to be connected to Novak.

Djokovic with set 2. Sinner troubled Novak during the latter's service games but Novak shut the door.

Some mental fortitude shown by Sinner, gets to deuce after being 0-40 on his serve.

ETA: He holds. Huge for his confidence.

Yup, Jannik is starting to play better. Still feels that he needs Novak to fall asleep or get bored though.
