I went with Honzek, but I can see the case for Pelletier too. I just think Honzek has higher upside, and is a big center which helps his case.
I can see this going to a runoff.

there are only 11 people who have voted for someone other than Pelletier or Honzek - what would be the point of a runoff? Whoever is up wins. Period

As of the time of this post, the gap between Honzek and Pelletier is only 6. I just think it's fun and how Bingo has done it in the past.

Easily Pelletier. Honzek could move ahead, but hasn't played any pro and likely won't until maybe playoffs this season.

It is fun, but in this case, we would get identical results. So a complete waste of time

I mean fans ranking prospects as a whole is a waste of time, don't you think?

I actually think that Pelletier will be a top 6 NHL'er in time - more likely on the 2nd line, and putting up legitimate 2nd line points. I think his floor will be 3rd line 'any situation' player, and I think that's valuable, even as a winger.
With that said, it is Honzek for me. I think he is the best forward prospect on the Flames right now. He has everything - IQ, size, speed, shot - I believe he has top line player potential, and I also think that given his overall package, that he also has a fairly high floor.

I thought Honzek was a LW.

Oh yeah, what was I thinking.
Poll tied now 121-121. Pretty much how I feel about it. Seems like a coin toss with both being good choices.

If the gap is less than the number of votes for other players, do a runoff.
Otherwise, I demand a recount.

Logged in for the first time in months because the vote was close.
Went with Honzek just because im excited about everyone talking about his ceiling. With Pelletier you have a solid middle 6 forward with a high ceiling. If your able to develop well you can get those types of players later in the draft.
Is Pelletier's ceiling that much better than the Mangipane's, Dube's and Colemans of the world.
Edit: This was my 1200th post, letttts gooo. Has that oilers prospect hit 1200 points yet?

8 vote lead with 15 people having not voted for either.
Pelletier would have to garner 12 of those 15 to win - no chance of that
It's over

I'm gonna get Trump on the case to find 8 votes in Georgia. Stop the steal!

If there’s no runoff vote, I’m going to write a letter of protest to my MP.
This is a serious matter of democracy vs authoritarianism.

I agree with everybody's opinion who picked Pelletier-he's got pro games under his belt already, and he will probably be a regular this season. That alone is good enough to pick him for spot # 3.
However, I think Honzek's attributes outshine all forwards in our system, and his skillset is overwhelming. 56 points in 43 games pro-rates to 88 points in 68 games. Before his injury, his trajectory was 94 points- on the second-lowest scoring team in the WHL. Think about that for a second.

We also better not skip a round of voting if one of these two wins without a run-off. Summer is long as it is. Another round doesn’t hurt.
