I wouldn't say I'm fatigued of Jedi, but I'm tired of the same ~30-year sliver in time every piece of Star Wars media takes place in

If it's all Jedi stuff they leave out another possible content source. That's just leaving money on the table.

Yeah, I'm sort of burned out on open world games, but then I saw the gameplay move from group to space and flying the ship and I knew I needed this stat

Carrie Fisher’s white Princess Leia gown worn in ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’ up for auction

The archetypal white gown that Carrie Fisher wore while playing Princess Leia in 1977’s “Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope” could be yours to own, if you have a couple million dollars to spare.
Propstore Auction, billed as a vendor of entertainment memorabilia that sells props and collectibles through live and online auction platforms, has the “original screen-matched ceremonial dress” listed on their site and estimates it could sell for up to $2 million when bidding closes on June 28.

Someone who worked on the first film in the UK saved it from the trash heap after filming had wrapped.

I'll watch that a bit later...I have a hard time believing that they just threw it out, but then again until ANH hit it huge Star Wars wasnt the sensation that it is now.

That's probably code for "the wardrobe person took it but a lawyer told her if she said it was in the trash then she can claim ownership legally and keep the $$$."

I still think there is an amazing story out there that could be told.

Who's more evil, the people that do "Evil" things, or the people that created them?

Its the whole premise of the Sith and Jedi war. I think there's a really interresting story that's kind of been hinted at and told in the Legends EU books that could make some real shades of gray storylines.

The Jedi of the old republic weren't the benevolent knights doing good deeds around the galaxy like they're talked about in the modern era.

They were monastic monks who studied the force and were incredibly rigid in their beliefs. When a group of Jedi asked to study all aspects of the Force, Dark and Light, they were shunned, banished and then pretty much exterminated by the Jedi with the survivers being exiled where they found the Sith race and formed the Sith belief system, driven by their hate for the Jedi who killed without mercy.

Then when the Sith did return and invade the Republic, the Jedi defeated them. Then followed them back to their world and enacted while the Republic smiled a program of genocide, extreminating males, females and children without mercy.

Even in peace the Jedi of the old republic were more like feudal war lords, ruling planets and people.

When another Sith Jedi war started again, the Jedi didn't care about the non force users of the galaxy, they formed a military and fought a brutal war that included destroying entire planets eco systems, using child soldiers and forced conscription into their military. Jedi were less about good deeds then they were about being a military for the republic. They and the Sith were barbarians.

At the end of that two Sith survived and went into hiding, and while the Jedi were forced to give up their militaries and pretty much put down their light sabers they were more about serving the republic and the Senate then they were the force. It was ok to do good acts and charitable acts as long as they benefited the republic.

When Palpatine talked about the fact that the Sith and Jedi are nearly identical, he wasn't really lying, they are. The Sith crave power so they can gain more knowledge. The Jedi crave knowledge because it allows them to gain more power. They both want peace, but the Jedi want freedom, the Sith want order and Justice.

The Jedi, so called follow the currents and desires of the force. The Sith try to command the force.

And the people that don't have the force are caught in between an enternal battle between the Dark and the Light.

A old republic story that shows the Jedi as rigid war like and almost like the Inquisitors or the Spanish inquisition would be interesting and deepen the storyline.

Also the Force powers of the Jedi and Sith were super powered compared to the modern Jedi's more limited skills.

I mean they could snuff out a sun, create monstrous storms. The Sith could create and mutate life.

doing a movie or a series like this would deepen he Lore. Why did Maul like the idea of the Sith finally having their revenge on the Jedi? Why did Palpatine talk to Anakin about the lies and dogma of the Jedi?

By Jedi, everyone knew what they were dealing with, so it was worth the time and money for Lucas to archive everything. Also, Lucas had full control over the franchise by then as well.

On the original, it was a low-budget sci-fi film at a time when sci-fi wasn't a popular genre.

That's too far away. Man I'm excited.

EDIT: Ahsoka is my favorite character, so I really hope they don't ruin her for me.

Han Solo! Of course!

The guy who has to make his way through the Galaxy and the Galactic conflict of his day and age, get in the scrapes, the battles, but he doesnt have Space Magic and he didnt grow up as Royalty, he's just a regular guy making his way who has to figure it out with his best friend by his side.

But when the Galactic war started, Space Magic or no Space Magic he was front and center, when it mattered most he stood up to be counted.

Ahsoka? She quit, slunk away and hid. She never helped people in the most desperate fight of their lives.

An almost fully trained Jedi? Dont you think she might have come in handy at some point? But noooo....Luke's got this on his own. Sure, he was half-assed trained by Gramps and the Swamp Goblin, but he's got this. Surely he doesnt need any help.

I've never understood people being enamored with Ahsoka, she certainly is an interesting character with strange priorities and principles, sure she was a great Commander during the Clone Wars?

Oh? You mean the fight that the Emperor was manipulating both sides against each other for his own benefit like a puppet-master manipulating marionettes? Cool. She was awesome fighting in a war that didnt matter for the Jedi who were too stupid to see what was happening right in front of them.

I just dont get the love.

"Moody Space Wizard Abandons Galaxy in time of greatest need."

I mean, if I'm Luke Skywalker and I run into Ahsoka post Battle of Endor I'd bitch-slap the Force out of her.

"I had to do this all by myself and you were here the whole time??"

And I dont care what anyone says, "Gramps and the Swamp Goblin" would just be objectively a great name for a Band.

Ok, I do like Ashoka but Locke's post/rant was epically awesome.

The fact that at the height of the Galactic civil war, when Ashoka had a chance to leave the world between worlds, she didn't.

I expect that in this series they'll try to piece together what happened after she re-entered the portal in the World between Worlds after Ezra saved her from Vader, and when she picks up Sabine.

A couple of things in that trailer. I don't remember Sabine ever calling Ashoka master, and Sabine isn't a jedi. Its weird, what's the context.

Also that blonde girl has an Padawan braid. And RS states that Anakin spoke highly of Ashoka, so clearly he's another Jedi that side stepped order 66.

Also we clearly have an inquisitor, which has to be a flashback, because Maul, Ezra, Ashoka and Kanan pretty much wiped out the Inquisitors.
