Sorry but i'm not buying your narrative. Why allow it and then say later than you don't agree with his message. Makes zero sense.

It's not ignorance knowing that Smith and Pollievre cater to and feed this red meat to a significant portion of their base. How they feel personally is irrelevant. Nothing that comes out of either of their mouths should be taken at face value (like any politician)

With respect I don't take your views at face value when you clearly have an agenda to promote on this issue. It matters when the ignorant and uninformed can look at those pictures and assume that the message on the green shirt is the established view because the 2 leaders allowed this to happen.

The best part is this: "The tactic failed in last spring's election & will only widen her lead in the next one."
I mean, the UCP's lead was reduced considerably in this election. Was it the victory for the NDP their supporters (me included) were hoping for, not at all, but you can't say the tactic didn't cost the UCP support compared to 2019.

NDP would have won the election in a walk if it wasn’t for Smith riding in at the last second and out of no where ripping the UCP nomination away based on an appetite for protecting Alberta from JT and safeguarding resources and jobs.
You can spin it however you want with NDP moral victories but in the end.
“You show me a good loser and I’ll show you a loser”.

LOL. "Ripping the nomination away". She won on the 6th ballot with about the same level of support Kenney had when he resigned. Ya, big win. She was barely accepted by her own party.

You really answer your own question there. They deny the message publicly, but the picture is out there for their base, and they don't really care about details. They see what they see. And those of us who already know Smith is a ####ing lying liar aren't going to accept her "uh golly gee, I take so many pictures" bull#### so we are irrelevant to her. The explanation is out there, the picture is out there, and to her it's a win because she really doesn't give a #### about us.

The UCP would've won that election in an absolute walk if they had Travis Toews as leader. Like I bet they'd have won ~65 seats and had no concerns. It's kind of amazing how blind the UCP are to that.

The rest of your post is claptrap. If you can't see the problem with a "straight pride" shirt in the world we live in today, then I revert to my original statement, "You really just don't understand the issue, do you?" Step away and go do some research. Be better.

Again, it’s a nuthing issue. Get over it!!!

I really am actually. You wouldn't know though, because I don't invite people who can't string a competent train of thought together, or spell the word "nothing". I've got standards.

Says the guy whose entire posting history is obsessing over Fuzz’s posts and Fuzz’s posts alone.
There has to be a better way to tell someone you like them. We’re not in elementary school anymore.

The only agenda I have is to show that neither of these two is fit to lead a parade. And most of what they do and say makes little sense to a logical thinking person with any common sense. They sow division. They cater to the small ultra right minority and then tell the majority that they don't. Nobody thinks the t-shirt message is the majority view.
They dog whistle the fringes with the knowledge that the mainsteam conservative voter will hold their nose and let it slide.
If you believe they simply didn't read the shirt before the photo opp or it was their handlers fault, then I don't what to tell you.

What a load of bull####.
Attention to detail matters, either PP or DS or their staff should have vetted this person.
This is a case of being sorry they got caught.
####ing idiots.

Sam's a good guy. Was hoping he wouldn't be out front.
IMO UCB it's a dog whistle play. There's only 2 possibilities: team is incompetent (could be), or team is supportive of the message/ wants to give the message additional visibility.
Can't be sure it's not incompetence, but if it really were it is likely someone hits the bricks. Doesn't seem to be in play here.
