If people were paying $80 a head and making signs and chanting and getting all riled up to watch Spiderman fight Superman that would be gay yes.
Comic books are for kids, so is Wrestling. You are supposed to out grow it.

So when a guy gets dressed up to watch the new Spiderman/ Superman / Star Wars/ Trek movie is that more or less gay then dropping 80 bones to get a bright yellow sign on TV?

Ahhh, who are we kidding. It's the same guys.

And why the heck is undertaker still in this? Isn't he like 70 now???
My favorite was Leapin Lanny Poffo droping peotry on the crowd during maple leaf wrestling ... then he'd get ruined.

If you even watched wrestling you would realize that it's NOT a children's program..theres plenty of sex and of course violence on a typical show but people like yourself who obviously dont watch it have to take a gigantic crap on it.

Alot of the wrestler's weights are overexaturated just like their heights to make them appear bigger than they actually are. Sure guys like Scott Steiner are on the juice and Batista and John Cena may have done them since they were bodybuilders before getting into wrestling but you're ignorant if you think every single one of them or most of them are on steriods.

More like $50. And it's no different than going to a concert. It's entertainment for 2 hours. Unless they're slapping each other's asses and grabbing each other's packages there's nothing gay about it.

Wrong. Just like video games wrestling was for kids 15 years ago but it's no longer like that. If I were a parent I may let my kid watch Smackdown because they're trying to make the shows more like the 80s but I would not let them watch RAW. There's far too much sexual references in it.

Although they like to exaggerate their heights and weights, those guys are huge.

I get my hair cut at the same place as Lance Storm and was in there at the same time as him one time. He got up and was standing a couple of feet in front of me and he's built like a brick wall.

In the ring, he was always one of the smaller guys, but in the real world, he's huge. I can't imagine what the big guys like the Undertaker or Batista must look like in day-to-day situations.

Steroids were a bigger problem in the 80s. I remember when Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid left Calgary as kind of scrawny looking cruiserweights and showed up a couple of months later in WWF as muscle-bound heavyweights.

Things calmed down in the 90s after Vince faced criminal charges over steroid use/abuse, but it seems that the pendulum has swung back the other way in the last couple of years. Vince has always loved the big muscleheads, so the easiest way to the top is to become a big musclehead.

Guys who are great in-ring athletes are asked to carry lumbering oafs to decent matches, and when the match looks terrible, it's the good wrestler who gets blamed, while the oaf gets another shot to ruin someone else's career.

Steroids may not be as big a problem now, but these guys are using painkillers and other drugs to just keep going 200+ nights a year. The only time they ever seem to get a rest is if they get injured, and even then, they tend to over-exert themselves so they can get back in the ring sooner than they should.

It's not a children's program anymore, but it's aimed at people who have the mental capacity of a child.

Nope, not at all. Just because you find it stupid doesnt mean that it actually is. There's many shows that I find stupid and dont understand why some people like them but people have different tastes.

Wrestling isn't about catering to the stupid folk. To enjoy it you have to be able to suspend your belief in reality. I don't watch wrestling anymore, but I used to be huge into wrestling. So much so that I studied every aspect of it that I could and even thought about trying to become a wrestler. I think what helped me to watch and enjoy pro wrestling was the ability to just slip away into another realm and enjoy the show. It isn't any different than going to the movies. Some of the fight and car chase scenes are rather extravagant just like the wrestlers and their matches.

Wrestling is just a male soap opera. It's got sex and voilence and a bit of humor, what else does a guy need?

I admit it's fake, but it still takes some pretty good athletes to do the things then do. Not to mention these guys are the most dedicated althletes out there. Take Mick Foley for instance...dude gets tossed off a 20 foot cage and continues the match...he has a tooth comming out of his nose and he still goes for 10-15 more minutes. Ya it's planned and we can all normally predict what happens, but it's still some cool stuff to see. You wanna see the good stuff, check out some ROH or japanese stuff. Hell Lucha Libra is a religion down in mexico still

Yep, exactly. I can sit and watch it and know what I'm watching is all an act but still get into it just like any other show I watch. The only difference with now and when I was a kid is I dont get upset when my favorite wrestler loses like I do if the Flames lose because I know it's all part of the storyline.

There's going to be a New Hart Foundation coming in too. It'll consist of Ted Hart (Bret and Owen's nephew), Harry Smith (Davey Boy's son), Natalie Neidhart (Jim Anvil's daughter) and her boyfriend TJ Wilson.

So if this new group is a hit, maybe they'll be part of the main event once July comes around

I'd be interested to see this group. Are they all signed with WWE? When do they start?

They're all signed but none are in the currently in the WWE. I have heard talk about them possibly coming up sometime this year and that the New Hart Foundation angle is something the WWE is strongly considering but it isnt 100% set in stone yet.

Well it is confirmed, we are getting Raw on July 16th.
I can't wait. Tickets go on sale this weekend I believe. I cannot find them on Ticketmaster yet though.

Tickets are available May 12th.

And rumour has it we may see the debut of the aforementioned New Hart Foundation.

The WWE probably has all of them working in Ohio so that they can get used to the WWE ring which is stiffer then most, and on thier talking skills.

There is only one Hart foundation and thats the Hitman and the Anvil.

Greatest tag team of all time.

Was out for a walk in Edworthy last week..muscle shirted tall built kid coming down the path at me...even though I recall barely from 4 or 5 years ago from the short lived New Stampede Wrestling, I could tell it was Harry Smith...must have walked from the Hart house.

The other clue was the fact that he was walking an English Bulldog...it couldn't still be Matilda, could it?

None of them are currently in OVW but Harry Smith, T.J. Wilson, and Nattie Neidhart were in Deep South Wrestling in Georgia which recently shut down after the WWE cut ties with them so there's a good chance they'll end up there.

I read the reason that there's so much speculation that they'll make their debut at the Calgary show is because apparently every TV show in Calgary has had a wrestler from Calgary featured and as of right there's nobody on the roster from Calgary.
