Was watching on WN's storm radar, it was coming right for us then at the last second, danced right around us just as it was crossing city boundaries. Almost looked like it just got on Stoney from the west and took it straight south then on to Okotoks, was a bizarre last second turn. City windshields, rejoice!

I wish my car was in Okotoks... I'm getting a new one and want to get rid of this one. Any kind of insurance payout would be a nice little addition to the new car fund. I just missed that flash flood on 52 Street yesterday. Was stuck in traffic for a good 30 minutes, waiting for police to get everyone turned around.

I normally love storms but the storm drain in front of our house has been especially slow this year and backs up with minimal rain, so I've been dreading them. Very glad this one missed us in McKenzie Towne.
I think I need to put a call in to 311. We've had pooling in previous years with heavy rain, and I understand that it's due to the storm pond levels. But this year has been really bad. We haven't had any huge dumps of rain and we're still getting a lot of pooling water. It makes me nervous for the heavy rain I know will eventually hit with these storms. And it's even more frustrating knowing that there's nothing I can do about it.

Anything you would get from an insurance payout would most likely be paid back in increased premiums. Besides, there has probably never been a better time to sell a used vehicle that I can remember.
