I do wonder what the Flames would covet from the Panthers? Significant add if they get DuclIr back from Florida. Reinhart could be a one for one option but he is looking for a big contract as well. Lundell is the dream I do not think is possible.

Duclair would definitely be part of the return. I have no idea what else would be.

I'm thinking Duclair + Lundell at most or Duclair + Luostarinen + Pick?

I fear the plus is going to be nowhere near as good as we all want.

I feel like Dallas and Seattle could still be a good match for Hanifin. Vladar to St. Louis, perhaps

Duclair plus Lundell would be great. Might have to throw a mid rnd pick from our side though.

Dallas has passed on defensive UFAs, and would love to move the last two years of Suter. With Suter at negative value balancing salaries, I think that you can pull in a very decent return. Recent defensive first rounders Harley and Bishcel would look good along with a 1st. Still interesting teams out there.

Given the offers already floated out there, I’d expect the offer to be something like Duclair + 3rd + some B grade prospect we’ve never heard of.

Duclair+Lundell is a dream. I would even add a little to get that done because it opens the door to move Lindholm or Backlund and continue to truly retool this team.
Lundell+Duclair for Hanifin+Ruzicka
Lindholm for Jarvis + 2nd (1st if the Canes make the 24 SCF)

Based on prices so far, I think we’re dreaming if Lundell is expected to be part of the return.

There is no rush, but there is a sense of urgency to not limit him to certain teams once cap space gets eaten up through free agency. I'd imagine a deal should be done within the next week, right?

It would be nice to finally be on the winning side of a deal where a player wants to be closer to home.

Dumba is a bit washed at this point, serviceable sure but not a big “win” in my mind.

So Conroy is looking to make a hockey trade. In an era when the pure hokey trade is virtually extinct. The Flames are setting a very challenging course for themselves.

Hard to read this one.
Looks like some teams are putting themselves out of the running with signings. Could that mean that conroy is far down the path with a suitor that hasn’t added yet (Pens/Kraken), or the market just isn’t there?

How is the hockey trade extinct? Dubois is a recent example.

I think Conroy can do better if he waits.

Why do you think the Penguins will be better over the next couple seasons than they were last season? Five of their top six players are in their mid-30s.
