Hope they bring him on often on Barnburner. I think the upcoming planned soup bracket could use some in-depth Lou insights!

I know I'll get told, this is a forum, for debate and discussion, which is true. But I never understand the need for people to post something like this in a situation like this. It's literally a one line drive by ####ting on someone, in a thread that is announcing they are moving on to do something different.
Would you do that at someone's retirement party? Grab the mike and say, I never liked him, glad he's gone? Probably not. So why not just read the thread, be happy that he's no longer going to be doing the job you didn't like him doing and just not saying anything?

I listen to a fair number of games on the radio. Lou was an excellent colour guy.
He will be missed.

As good as he was on the radio, he's an even better human being.

During covids Interruption when he was reading about candy on the fan 960 I nearly peed my pants laughing at some of his gems.
Dude is an exceptional individual. Man this sucks.

Loubo's son lives in Edmonton I believe and his wife/partner lives in Toronto. He may be getting some sort of gig in those markets or even working directly with the teams.
Regardless of what happens, I wish him well and really enjoyed his time on the broadcast and in the community.

Sad to see he is moving on, but happy it sounds like he's heading off to do something new for himself.

TBH, I'd rather have Loubo than Hrudey.

Whatchu talking about, "Willis"?
I much preferred Lou's cc during games than the between games interviews where IMO he started doing too much of asking himself his own questions and talking in general emotional terms vs. analyzing what is happening on the ice. But his passion for the game and the Maple Leaf was infectious and in a lot of ways, I associate the Flames with him.
If Reggie is right about them scrapping the color role and just having PBP, that ain't going to be pretty.

I wonder how the former poster Petelfan is doing today? He or she was a riot. And a bit crazy. I do think the poster is still with us today (spurs, Paulie or flamesfan05)?

I liked Loubardias but it was irritating how every statement he made had the intonation of a question.

True story. About 4 years ago I took my late mother to a Dawgs baseball game in Okotoks. She spots Lou walking the concourse of Seaman Stadium and I walk up to Lou and tell him that my mother has a huge crush on you. Both Lou and my mother turn 10 shades of red
