Hopefully teams like Buffalo will be willing to give up a 2024 1st plus a prospect.

And for teams to give up real value for guys like Hanifin and Lindholm, those guys will require 8 year contracts at 2024 UFA price and teams are balking at that. So that will slow those deals down.

So I have no idea if Conroy is doing a good job or not.
It's like the goalie coach. People have this strong views on him. I have no idea if the goalie coach on my own kids team is any good, or what he actually does, how the hell can I judge the Flames goalie coach?

We need a new assistant to the assistant to General Manager, she's really slacking off, here are the stats.

Thinking the lineup looks like this if we’re going to the deadline with our UFAs

Huberdeau-Lindholm-Mangiapane
Dube-Kadri-Coronato
Sharangovich-Backlund—Coleman
Pelletier-Ruzicka-Duehr
Zary??

Anderson-Weegar
Tanev-Hanifan
Stecher??-Zadorov
Gilbert
Kylington??

Markstrom
Vladar
Wolf??

Not much worse than last year. Probably faster and some more offense. Especially if Mangiapane and Huberdeau can have better years.

But I have a feeling at least one move is coming. My guess is Hanifin is leaving and Duclair will be added to Huberdeau’s line.

Vladar would be my other guess on a second move to make room for Wolf. Dark horse move would be Markstrom to make room for Wolf.

Why do people have such a hard time spelling Hanifin?

Probably a much better shot at getting a 1st plus now that the next draft is a year away and the acquiring team can get an extension done immediately. Plus the team would likely see themselves as a playoff team and be more willing to part with what they expect to be a later 1st.

I think the strength of the 2023 draft was largely the reason teams held on to the picks.

I don't know. The problem with trading Hanifin for a pick is that any team that trades for him isn't going to have a decent pick. I'd rather just get known prospects or young players back.

My guess, Flames are not looking at draft picks,

Likely a player(s) (2 or 3 years in the league)

Type of return

They should put the player’s names on the jerseys somewhere so we can all read how it’s spelled instead of just hearing it from Rick Ball.

Probably pretty expensive to do every player in the league though and with all the player movement it’s a lot of trouble so we’ll never see it.

Won't be hard after he's traded!

There's so many combo's to spell his name phonetically:
Hanafin
Hanafen
Hannifin
Hanniffin
Hanaffin
Hannaffin
Hanniffin
Hanneffin
Hannefin
Hanefin
- and some combo's with the "o" and "y".

Same with Tofolli - he's no longer on the team. So, who cares.

Yeah. It seems to be a pretty ####ty trading market with teams capped out atm. Some quality players just got bought out or traded for peanuts. That’s a pretty clear sign of how bad it is

For the same reason they have no clue about:
their - there - they're
who's - whose
your - you're
should of - should have - should've (and variants)

Bad education systems, ignorance and laziness.
