Hurtig means "swift" in German. That's all I can contribute here.

Both are solid, not spectacular, stay-at-home players, with average speed, who play a simple, meat-and-potatoes game. Both have pretty good hockey sense for the D zone, where they play a punishing, physical brand of hockey, with quality positioning and anticipation, as well as gap control. Huge wingspans with their reach, and smart sticks, which help them clog lanes, and smother attackers. Neither will get too involved in transition, instead deferring to other players, although both can create a quality outlet pass. Neither one of these players will ever be counted on for offense, and indeed- neither will ever develop those skills. I would put Hurtig ahead as a player- he seems to be more mobile, and better with the puck, and I think he's showing up on most mocks, way before KK. I would pick Hurtig for the 3rd/4th round, and KK for the 5th/6th.
Wow, 3rd/4th round ehh?
I guess you're happy with the value at the 7th, I'll take it.

Vickers absolutely loves this one....good enough for me.

Pretty obvious the Flames both wanted and needed to get bigger. Vegas and others in the West aren't getting any smaller and clearly size will always matter at the NHL level.

Pretty decent draft in that regard for sure.

I'm good with it. That projection was where a lot of lists had him at the time.

Would have preferred Dennis Good Bogg for the name alone.

178th on our Final Rankings, but, of course, Sandman liked him even more - solid!
