For those of you that like the comprehensive Russian interviews. Here's Aydar showing off St. Andrew's College.

As before, let me know if you want me to do a write-up either on him or Sharangovich's interview.

I have a good friend that lives in Penticton, and is a Vees Season ticket holder. He also is a massive canucks fan, and hates everything about the Flames and Calgary.

I asked him about the pick, this was his response:
He’s a beast. That pick will be good.

It's literally the nicest thing he has ever said about the Flames.

Will he be in penticton for the youngsters? Would be cool to see him compete on his old home ice before going to college.

I watched the Vees play in penticton 2 or e times last year. He is absolutely going to be a player!

I don't know what they are saying but at 1:39 they say "toronto" and "gary roberts" and show Roberts putting some veggie mush in the blender. Then he is filling out a Gary Roberts titled piece of paper in slow mo.

My take....he pays to be part of Gary Roberts program?

They didn't say either "Toronto" or "Gary Roberts" around that time. He was just commenting that one avenue to get to the NHL for Russian players was through so called tour agents. They essentially place the prospect closer to the teams in north America, figure out their education etc.

You can always choose the auto translate option on the youtube subtitles.

At 48th he would be a passable pick.

At 90th he's a fantastic pick.

If he's going to play another year in the BCHL before going to UMass, he will likely be there, but if he's starting college in the fall, he'll already have started class by the time the Young Stars happens.

They are definitely talking about Gary Roberts. Back to 1:37 and forward. I may have language skills unbeknownst to me until this very moment. Plus the pictures of Gary Roberts helps.

His skating looks fine. Shot looks elite. Passing and puck handling look great.

And he's big too?
weaker competition in the BCHL probably a big factor

I wonder if Leaf fans would rather Suniev or Cowan?

The picture is unrelated. I'm not sure if you're just trolling me, but I'm fluent in Russian, and I've listened to that section 3 times now, there's not one mention of Gary Roberts.

1:37:59?

I think he means 1 hour and 37 minutes not 1:37 like he typed. Definitely a photo of Roberts and they say Gary Roberts. I looked at 1 minute and 37 seconds first.
