I live in Penticton and have had a few chances to watch Suniev play. He and the two Nadeau brothers created one of the most potent lines in recent BCHL memory.
Suniev was a man amongst boys. A stocky 6'2" with a good skating stride and a nose for the net. The brothers got a lot of love, but he created a ton of space and had great vision, especially on the power play. An accurate shot helped put up 45 goals.
He will have to work on the edges and first step but a really solid pick up.

Looks like he's got a good tool kit. Will be interesting to see him at UMass and see how he does against men. Has the size to compete and appears to have the wheels, just needs a motor tune up. That should come in college.
How is this kid not a first round talent? The skills are off the chart.
His skating looks fine. Shot looks elite. Passing and puck handling look great.
And he's big too?
