I'm severely disappointed in the lack of Sugarhill Gang on this thread.

They weren't really releasing tunes in the late 80s or early 90s now were they?
If you want to be disappointed by anything in this thread, it should be at the apalling lack of tracks from A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul.
Also get some Kool Moe Dee (Go See The Doctor, How Ya Like Me Now?, I Go To Work, or Let's Go), Beastie Boys (Fight For Your Right To Party, Shake Your Rump, Hey Ladies), or some more tracks from artists like Boogie Down Productions, Big Daddy Kane, Eric B & Rakim, Digital Underground, etc. Of course, if you were listening to Technotronic and C&C and consider it rap, you probably won't like any of this really good stuff.

The DOC. Wicked stuff before the throat injury. I heard something he did afterward and his voice was completely different.
Gotta dig out the old cassettes, you guys are bringing back alot of memories.

This is not really true. I started this thread becuase I am trying to get a BIG list of songs so I can remember what i was listening to when I was 13 years old. So far it has helped me a ton! If you gave me a choice and I had to pick bands to listen to today I would pick beastie boys and that kinda stuff but back in junior high, i heard more of the C & C Music Factory. I am putting together a CD not of the bands that I like, but of bands that we can have a good laugh at when the songs come on. I am pumped!
