Nope. With all of the activity (hikers, backpackers, hunters, aircraft, off-roading) if Bigfoot existed there would be incontrovertible evidence. There isn’t, he/it doesn’t.

In rural Saskatchewan, I thought I was hearing Sasquatch every night for weeks. Turns out it was a noise coming from our freezer on it's last legs. . .

Really have no opinion on this subject (it is fascinating to discuss) but I do recall Dr. Jane Goodall making a comment on NPR's Science Friday with Ira Flatow about this exact question.

The good doctor is certain they exist.

Andre the Giant is not dead he just roams the woods and his electric shaver died out long ago...

If aliens exist, then logically, somewhere, alien Bigfeet exist, no?

Just cause they ain't on Earth doesn't mean they aren't out there somewhere.

While I absolutely agree, stupid Sasquatch and Alien talk rank below Astrology and Jesus belief in my opinion. If someone actually asks me what "sign" I am, I refuse to answer. If they profess how religious they are, I have a quick understanding of how dim they are.

In 2002, Philip Morris, owner of Morris Costumes (a North Carolina-based company offering costumes, props and stage products) claimed that he made a gorilla costume that was used in the Patterson film. Morris says he discussed his role in the hoax "at costume conventions, lectures, [and] magician conventions.

Bob Heironimus claims to have been the figure depicted in the Patterson film.[245] Heironimus says he had not previously publicly discussed his role in the hoax because he hoped to be paid eventually and was afraid of being convicted of fraud had he confessed. After speaking with his lawyer he was told that since he had not been paid for his involvement in the hoax, he could not be held accountable.

Simple explanation
Quote:
"It's a known fact that human beings and Neanderthals were battling pretty heavy 35,000 years ago," he said. "I believe they split at that time and went off into the woods."

Under Brock's theory, Neanderthals developed as a species parallel to human beings. But, while humans were developing technology and cities, Neanderthals were learning to live in the forests, and in hiding from their enemies.

Like the portal theory, Brock notes his more Earthbound beliefs also answer the questions raised by skeptics. Why are they so hard to find? Tens of thousands of years of experience with camouflage, he noted.

"Like us, they became masters of their domain, but their domain was the forest. They know how to hide," he said. "They actually went beyond being masters of their domain."

But that leaves the bodies, right? Not so, Brock said, because Neanderthals were and are cannibals.

"By eating their bodies, they do two things," he said. "First, they feed themselves. Second, they dispose of the bodies."
Is bigfoot an extraterrestrial?

I was a huge Sasquatch fan as a kid and wanted to believe quite badly, but one day I heard a biologist speak on how big a population needs to be in order for it to continue and that sorta killed the magic for me.

Also there was a tweet that I can't find but will sum up as: "Isn't it weird how as soon as everybody started carrying high-definition video cameras in their pockets we stopped seeing Bigfoot and the cops started killing people?"

No direct experiences, but the last place I worked at was a heritage site and museum that had an exhibit dedicated to sasquatch. The exhibit was funded by a local "Bigfoot hunter," John Green, who was apparently famous within the community. One of the grounds guys was a true believer; once, he played for me an audio of "sasquatch" cries that he had recorded on his phone the previous night. Anyhow, there are plenty of people in my neck of the woods who claim to have had encounters.

As I got older I always wondered...wouldn't Sasquatch's mate and have offspring and wouldn't we find evidence of it?
