You have to be offered a late first to get one though.

I doubt we do anything tomorrow but you never know. It would be nice to steal in a get a Cristall or a Heidt to go with Honzek. Unlikely but you never know.

Categories below that don’t win you anything on their own, they are bit players who help win but don’t single-handedly win you games, series or cups.


The point of my post is flames don’t have a superstar and are as far away from having one as they’ve ever been, and you need a superstar to win in this league

I think it was an utter failure not to get another 1st.

It's still early so I guess we will see how it all unfolds. One trade could change everything.

What teams were trading firsts for older players? How is it an utter failure if nobody was willing.

Teams inquired about lindholm and were informed we weren’t trading him…

So it’s an utter failure to not consider all options.

I'm just going off what insiders have said and my own thoughts. Serevelli stated the flames could of gotten a late 1st for toffolo if they wanted. Serevelli also stated that the blue jackets were interested in PLD earlier this wee so..... we all know he's full of it sometimes.

But I also have a hard time believing that 2.5 million Toff doesn't get you a late 2023 or 2024 first.

If you can't get a 1st+ for lindy or hanifin, what are we even doing. Why are we so desperate to re-sign them?

I'll also turn it back on you. How do you know they weren't offered? You don't. We're all speculating here based in extremly limited knowledge.
Based on that knowledge I'm not a fan of the direction of this team so far.

Depending on the plus I would have be fine with that, but I am wary of goalies so I understand if the team didn't assuming they have much more faith in Wolf than I do.

I’m guessing it was a late 24 1st for Toffoli basis the other trades that went down before the first round. Look at the comparables and it is line.

Don't rush. When the first free agent week passes, the trade value should increase so much that we can trade our assets for big returns.

Like, the Flames love Wolf so much they gave him one start after they were eliminated basically because they were being roasted for being so inflexible on injecting youth. I'm praying that was a Sutter thing and based on Conroy's press conference sounds like it, but if this implied we had a shot a Michkov or somebody else like that? Are the Flames going to give this kid a legit shot here or what?

So anyway yeah, I think you think about it, I guess depending on the pick. Wonder if you could do that trade straight up without the +?

And lindholm certainly should get minimum a first and an A prospect.
