They do have a logjam of forward prospects. The only fly in the ointment is both Dahlin and Powers are LD. Dahlin has already slid over to RD to form a pairing with Samuelsson. I don’t know if the Sabres want their other marque D playing his off side to accommodate an LD like Hanifin.

Clearly nobody was interested in moving a 1st at the draft. Can’t remember the last time there wasn’t a single trade.

At this point, now that the fist round is over, have to hope that any trades for Lindholm or Hanifin not only include a first round pick in 2024 but also a top A-level prospect.
Although, it may be more of a hockey trade I guess.
