My sons follow this stuff much more closely than I do… they are both livid.
After investing 18 years of moulding them into Flames fans they are both ready to jump ship. Frustrating season, all their favourite players gone or asking for trades…
This is a ####ty time to be a Flames fan.

I am good with this pick. Big guys that can skate and have skill are always hard to acquire. Hopefully he works out. Big = Good, as long as it comes in a package that can skate and has skill. Flames are a fairly small team suddenly top to bottom outside of Klapka and Zadorov... and there are rumours about Zadorov.
If nothing else, Sandman likes this pick, so I like this pick by default.

With a selection like Honzek, wish they would have dropped back a few slots with hopes of adding another pick or picks and still be able to select from the likes of Honzek, Moore, Perrault, ASP, etc (guess Barlow for those who like)...maybe the trade back option wasn't there though...
