Duclair's value is a 3rd, I won't believe it's anything more than that.

If a deal involving Hanifin for Duclair as the centrepiece goes down, I think I'd be pretty close to tuning out as a fan for the next few seasons. Defence are hard to find, and Duclair did well this year. Years past he's been mediocre. Those now justifying the Toffoli deal by saying you have to look at his averages of previous years should be saying the exact same thing about Duclair here. I'd accept Duclair and Florida's first, and second, then flip Duclair for the 3rd round pick he's worth. Anything less than that and Conroy's lost me already (dramatic I know).

For .5 more per season we could have had Kevin Hayes for free.

Instead of selling our second most valuable asset for a winger.

LeBrun on TSN said he is not sure that Florida is the top option for the Flames.

Yeah, nor should they be. Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Detroit. All have assets the Flames would want over FLA.

Buffalo and Detroit seem like better trade partners than Florida.

If Florida value Duclair as a 3rd or a 4th I would gladly take the draft pick over him

It's lundell or bust for me.

We need young players with serious upside.

Luostarinen is a good player but he's 24 and doesn't have the upside of lundell.
We're full on middle 6 forward before adding luostarinen and duclair

I don't even want Florida's 1st that will be 3 years out from now. Lundell or bust

Whew. We can calm down a bit. Hopefully Buffalo is the top option

Honestly, kind of glad we got Sharangovich if it means we don’t settle for Duclair. I like Duclair, but you’ve got to move another winger out if you’re gonna do that.

So that second tweet basically sounds like Zito said if you can't find anything better here is Duclair

The 3rd is the most appealing part of that deal.

I know it looks like prices might be low for older, expensive forwards but for Hanifin we can't be selling for 5 cents on the dollar.

I can't see a deal that makes sense without at least Lundell and if that is too much for Florida then move on.

I want this to go down so that I can be on the same side as Dino7c and finally defend Duclair! LOL

In all seriousness, there needs to be more coming from Florida but the Lundell talk is a pipedream. I can definitely see better options available for Calgary.
