I think the reason most of us are getting a little upset and uptight here, is we can see quite a quick retool turn around that starts right at this first round today, rather than being locked into the same old and expensive.

In my very layman and biased view there are too many guys I really like around the 16 spot so I wouldn't. I also feel this team needs to try to prioritize quality over quantity and while we could debate the quality of pick 16 versus something around the 30-35 range I do think its more worthwhile to keep the higher pick, especially in this draft.

Sabres are probably dangling guys like Olofsson, Mittelstadt, Jokiharju, Bryson.

They will probably put Stillman in the deal just for the laughs.

There was significant interest on Lindholm as of this morning. Meaning proposals likely put Conroy's way. But they've informed those teams that they're waiting on Lindholm.

Sabres don’t really have time to waste, pressure to contend now. If pick 13 solidifies their D core for the next 8 years seems dumb not to do it. I think that team has had enough of waiting for prospects

Agreed. At what point do you keep holding onto prospects and not trading for NHL ready players, sabres have not been relevant since 2008. They need to change that.

Yes I meant trade. I thought one of the CP insiders Sec214 or Dissentower, sorry I can't remember, said that the Flames had a major offer from an Eastern team already.

But there is so much coming out over the past few days I might have mixed that up.

Yes, we also have a glut of good young forwards and forward prospects and a high need for more experience at D. We're a natural match for this trade with Calgary.

Rather than expecting Conroy to be button lipped, maybe he’s leaning into his strengths and talking so much that it clouds all speculation of his true intentions.

Like, I feel like Brad or Darryl would’ve had Sec214 killed for some of these things he’s revealing.

A massive Lindholm return would likely need him to sign with that team so waiting on Lindholm might not be a choice
