Buffalo makes too much sense for Hanifin, they need to start making the playoffs and the 13th pick will be two years away at least

That would be just delightful. Hometown kid and a top-half 1st round pick. Would have no issue with the Flames adding the recently acquired 3rd round pick or something.
Probably just a dream though (as you say).

I think I'd rather picks 13 and 16 and the return for Lindholm than pick 3-5

Krebs and 13th would be great which likely means it isn't possible.
I can't see Columbus giving that 3rd pick up for almost anything even 13,16, Lindholm but if you can get that pick, wow that would be amazing as well.

Now say they do get 13, you could then hypothetically trade down if someone wants a guy at 16 they couldnt necessarily get or don't think they'd get at 18-20. Get another pick or two.

Nah I think 8-12 is a ledge with 15-20 being a ledge. But I do trust our pro scouts compared to what I pretend to know.
But I do love these Hypotheticals on top of Hypotheticals.
This is what will make us sad when nothing happens.

"Ball is in the Flames court" was the rumor, implying Lindholm's side had maybe put forth a (minimum?) number they'd sign for.
Oh and if you meant trade, no, nothing actually rumored just some speculation on value comparable to other trades so far this week.
