Looking at how things have gone...here's what I'm hoping for:

To Florida: Chris Tanev
To Calgary: Anthony Duclair, 3rd round pick.

Flames get younger and bring in Huby's buddy alongside a 3rd while Florida stabilizes their 2nd pairing.

I just don't like the idea of Hanifin or Zads going for Duclair, unless in Hanifin's case a 2026 1st rounder is coming with him.

I'd be fine with the one year flyer on Duclair if Florida retains but absolutely not for Hanifin though. Serious pass on Lundell.

a 2026 1st rounder is so far away that it doesn't have nearly enough value for me to land Hanifin.

I am once again saying that if Florida isn't offering Lundell, you hang up the phone.

The issue with Duclair is injuries. When he's healthy, he's a 20-30 goal guy and he's only 27.

Actually, the other not-awesome thing is he's a UFA at the end of the season. I like Duclair, but I would want a lot more back that just him if we're sending them Hanifin.

If Duclair is the centerpiece and not a a salary move in a trade for Hanifin then Conroy should actually get canned.

Lundell is a solid piece though

Florida traded their 1st three years out at pretty much exactly this time last year (to us, conditionally)...what's another one?

I think Duclair is a good target. Should come cheap. If they want to make a real hockey trade there would obviously have to be something larger from Florida for a defenseman. I'm with everyone else who wants to keep Zadorov and move Hanifin. Lundell would be a nice grab, but Luostarinen would be a great grab as well. Either of those two and the right free agent signing and I could get excited about the team going forward regardless of the return from dealing Lindholm and Backlund. Could be an exciting year.
