Is Igor strong on the puck and tough in the corners or is he 6'2" of Jankowski?

I wonder if the Devils let Mike McLeod go now too. I'd like Naim in CGY as well.

Despite my apprehension regarding the trade, I do not think Toffoli had a whole lot more market value, even with the season he had. He is a 50 point player who exceeded his norm last year. Just as Kadri is not an 80 point Center, but a 50+ one as well.

I still think Tre slightly overpaid for Toffoli and as such, I wasn’t expecting another GM to do the same.

I’m going to miss his Goal scoring celebrations though. One of the happiest players on the team when he lighted the lamp. Hated his play in the first year, but enjoyed what he brought to the team last season.

Down year sets up for a low cap hit 3 or 4 year deal that takes him to 28 or 29.

Left shot with quick release fits with Huby. Does he center a line with Huby and Coronato or Pelletier on RW?

4th highest goal scorer in 2018 draft class. Like the sound of that.

Creates room to move at least one of Lindholm or Backlund.

Hilarious that we got our own 3rd rounder back from Jarnkrok trade after it moved 4 times!

The folks rushing in on their C of Red fire trucks to shut down criticism and throw lipstick on the pig are the same ones who were doing it in every thread for Jay Feaster’s moves.

It’s ok to just call a bad trade a bad trade, guys. It’s fine. In all likelihood he’ll be one of those Nigel Dawes/Blake Comeau types of additions, and in a few years we can all forget he exists and move on.

I wouldn't really call him the Flames leading scorer like it was likely to happen again
No, no. You misunderstand. The proper way to do this is to pretend like the universe exploded into existence exactly one year ago, and everything that ever happened before then is completely meaningless.

The constant drum on Valji around here is extremely undeserved and distasteful. This tweet in particular is actually accurate so not sure what everyone's letting their knickers knot up about.

Coronato and Sharangovich will combine for a good handful of goals next season with the opoortunities they'll get, methinks

I wouldn't be mourning Tyler's goal scoring too deeply.

Basically this gives the flames a center group of Kadri Sharangovich Dube and Zary for next year. I am whelmed. I’d rate the trade about a 3.5/10

Tyler got scared there would be no contract from the Flames so he asked for a trade.

It’s accurate but completely lacks context and any actual depth of thought
So perfect for twitter I guess

Toss out the year two years ago when Toffoli was on pace for 44 goals 69 points. The guy is merely a 45-50 point guy if you toss out two of the last three years and heavily weigh the years from 7 years ago.

He now has better line mates in NJ

I wouldn’t trash him too much just in case he has a season like that South Beach guy
