This would sum up my feelings too.
Good player, pick should be one round higher. 1sts in this draft are coveted right now, they were never going to be given out like candy. A 2nd + young player seems like a reasonable ask though.

Yea I’m still in the Lindy is most likely getting traded; say what you want about management but there’s no way they’re going to be paying two guys 10 M and I think of all the pieces the flames can trade Lindy will be the one that brings them back younger pieces that also play into the ‘stay competitive’ mold. I really am hoping for a Kotkaniemi package as much as I’ve been roasted for suggesting him as the centrepiece in a Lindy trade.

Actually I like this kind of trades which the team tries to find a great players who needs a little more opportunity and who is buried in other teams roster and can't break out and showcase his ability.
But I believe that our pro scouts are not so good. Because one of the Treliving's weakness was to find a perfect players who can come and help the team.
Also I want the team try to find some euro league players like last time when they got signed Červenka, Nakladal and Rittich

Serious question - have they been accurate on anything yet?

The one good thing is that he should be cheap. Send the 3rd they just got for Toffoli for him.

If he’s going to argue 3 year totals, the arbitrator might ask why the PPG went down every year.
And if he is a .5 ppg guy, that puts him close to Toffoli anyway, career wise. Except with his prime yet to come.

Yeah looks like his PP TOI average last season was 5 seconds per game.

Duclair is turning 28 so it would help in replacing Toffoli from an age perspective. Post-apex player that could help the team for the next couple seasons.

You can complain all you want about Murray but he’ll spend to the cap but if they offer Lindholm 10 million then the entire front office staff should be fired lol. Really shouldn’t see anything higher than 8.5.

Everything is weird about this organization.
They just subtracted their leading scorer who requested a trade out. There aren’t a lot of good teams that can just subtract their leading scorer and think “oh, we’re a good team that can compete”.
They did the exact same thing last Summer. That didn’t work out.
When they say they believe they’re a good team that can compete, what team are they actually talking about…because the team has lost critical components two years in a row now, but the organization just doesn’t seem to think that’s important.

He got almost every off-season event right except for Love getting the coaching job. I remember he said that Shane Doan got interviewed for the GM job and now Doan is an assistant for Tre in Toronto

I like it.
Ice time cut in half last year, good on PK , has a great shot and so now we have a guy who could potentially be great with Huberdeau who also had his play time cut but really came on in the last 20 games.
2 guys waiting for an opportunity to show what they can do but haven't stepped on the ice together yet and already getting #### on .
Conroy apparently sucks , Iginla sucks too because he has connys back .
What did I miss? This is CP right? Wow. I truly hope these 2 blow the doors off doubling last years production by getting ice time and people eat crow.
Damn the negativity.
