I do not hate this at all, and I'm as cynical about the Flames as anyone you'll ever meet.

Sharangovich isn't gonna be a core piece but he's a good player. He probably has the best shot of anyone in the entire organization. Really curious to see what he can do.

Let's see what the overall picture is starting to look like in the next 2 or 3 days. That's 4 million of space. That's also their own 3rd round pick back, and that opens up an option. Meh, let's see what this shapes up to be.

Toffoli must love this trade . He’s going to either be on Hughes line or hershishers line. I do remember sharagovich was wanted by teams a couple years ago. He looked good when he first came into league , but has stumbled since.

I think June 2023 is the wrong month to trade your 2024 UFAs.

You have to wait until July 1 so you can negotiate sign and trade deals. Trade players with some term and cost certainty in order to get good value back.

If you want to trade 2024 UFAs (with no extensions) for 2023 draft picks you may not like the returns

Lol it was only 1.5 years ago and Toffoli just had his best year this season.

Also term is not necessarily a good thing with the current cap situation.

Regardless Toffoli with 1 year left at a 4.25M cap hit and only $3.5M real dollars should net a lot more. If the offers really sucked retain 50% and get a better deal, this team ain't contending regardless this year.

Most seem to be pissed they traded for Toffoli, so I think we may have won long term.

Seems light no? Considering Sharangovich is an RFA seems like a pretty underwhelming return, and a 25 year old player isn’t really hitting the reset button for a team that needs younger players. Not thrilled with this return.
