Ugh. Leave this thread to the adults please
For the grownups I know, it’s nice to see Backs recognized, celebrating with Snow, and Tkachuk being proud

Happy for the player, happy for the team, Backs deserves recognition. He's a stand up guy who's shown commitment to making the world around him a better place.
As for the team, if they shop him now it it's because they're rebuilding or whatever and he wants to win. Any team getting him knows he won't be a problem for the team or community and it'll be branded as a smart pickup.
It's great for the personal and business sides, but it is still a business. Sell high.

Lots of other threads to discuss whether he should be here or not.
As a Flames Fan watching him grow since he was drafted, it is just really great to see how he has grown up and become such a huge asset for both the team and the community. I hope that he continues to play in this league until he is 40.
I also hope that whatever happens, he returns to Calgary and becomes an active member of Calgary's Alumni. I think he would be a huge asset there in the community still, if he does end up retiring and not being involved in hockey. He just does so much for the community, and it is great to see him being recognized for it.
