Quinn and Kulich would be fantastic

So is he injured? I haven't seen post-season discussion about him being injured and he certainly didn't look injured in the playoffs.

Yeah they needed someone on LTIR for the rest of the season after their deadline acquisitions so it’s speculated he was okay just banged up enough

And he would make a great trade deadline deal

Don't want to sign this more than fair contract offer considering you haven't got it done? Fine, see ya

Also, they seem to be planning ahead for once. Lindholm is borderline to offer a contract with term to. Backlund, who'll be 35 when his contract ends, is an absolute no. That's not the way it works for players like Backlund. They don't get contracts beyond 2 years when they are that old.
I really think Vegas' success and Johnny leaving has led to an awakening in the management side of the club. The days of loyalty are over. Going forward, the NHL will be more like the NBA. Teams will need to be on their toes and constantly managing assets to assure they don't walk away for nothing. Retirement contracts will be reserved for guys that truly change the course of a franchise.

Lysell would make it appealing.

I sure hope Hanafin gets traded for Lyubushkin and Jokiharju.

Nope. All the Flames UFAs have a year left on their contract. So whoever takes them can sign the 8th year. It’s seven if the player isn’t on the team by the trade deadline.

No because he's still got a year left on his deal. Whoever has him in that final year of contract can give him a 8 year deal.

I thought the guy on Twitter said everyone's sarcasm meter must be broken when he tweeted huge shakeup.

I wonder if Calgary is on Hall's 10 team no trade list. Given his experience playing in a Canadian market, I wouldn't blame him for making sure he's in control of whether or not he moves back to Canada. If he does have control, I wouldn't be surprised if he was not interested in coming to Calgary given the uncertainty right now.

If there's a guaranteed extension in place for Hanifin I could live with it. Quinn is great but we incoming prospects at forward that could take that spot.
13th OA / Savoie / Kulich are literally our three best non-roster items though. People really gotta lower expectations on two out of three of those. Guys like Ostlund and Rosen are more likely available options.

Ah I see. I think I'm getting confused because of the Tkachuk sign and trade. Didn't he had a year left too, why did he need to have the Flames sign him to the contract?

No, he was a pending RFA on the deadline, with a QO for a season at $9M.

One Eastern team that i was thinking about, the Panthers. Might they move Lundell and some picks for Lindholm or Hanafin?
