God Hates The World
Perhaps a new take on the VT massacre. Blame it on the GAYS!
These baptists plan on protesting the VT funerals. The Westboro Baptist Church if you haven't heard of their exploits yet.
Here's a video of their latest work. Very catchy.
(I know it gets a little repetitive after a while, not only bad in message, but you think they coulda spent a little more time on an extra verse... but if you truly want to get enraged, watch the whole thing.)
Language warning. NOt in the actual singing, but in the signs portayed in the video.

If America wants to fight religious fundamentalism perhaps they should start in their own backyard.
EDIT: Apparently they have just cancelled their pickets, but only because of the promise of national radio time.
I would post their site, but I'm not sure the filters or site rules accept the url. Serious.

What a bunch of nut jobs.
Why are they waving the Canadian flag upside down like that at the end? As an insult to Canada I guess? Since gay marriage is allowed here?

I have heard of some right-wing religious nuts, but never had I had the chance to see some of the utter bs they espouse. To think these so-called faithful are serious in their beliefs is downright scary. Only in America???? I am not so sure.

I think I saw these guys protesting in Montreal a number of years ago. If it's the same people I heard that a customs officer was suspended for losing his mind, breaking signs, and such when they tried to clear customs.
Rumours mind you, and could be a different group.
Honestly I don't know how they're still living, if my brother was killed over seas in a military combat (he's not in the military but for the sake of argument) and they protested his funeral, I'd be on trial for mass-murder.
Also their logic "men are leaving thier wives to commit adultery with other men, which makes being gay wrong". Ummm what? WORST ... LOGIC ... EVER ... that would make being straight wrong as there are men sleeping around on their wives with other women.

Well, the entire Westboro Baptist Church is related to the pastor. It's an inbred den of 60-80 relatives.
One of the guy's estranged sons says his father just needs people to hate and always has his entire life. Scary to think the guy used to be a lawyer. You wonder what kind of people these were in their youth and how they end up like this.

I'm a Christian and I find those inbred freaks offensive. I can't believe some of the things they believe and practise. Wow!

The Patriot Guard has been doing wonders to these guys.
There was a story a while back for a 23 year old soldier killed in Iraq, and the Patriot Guard shielded the family from these tools, by standing in the freezing rain for over 5 hours.

Crazy stuff there. Personally, I am perfectly comfortable being hated by these nutjobs. It gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside.
However, I might point out that by their logic, if God hates "Fags," as they so eloquently state, then would it not also stand to reason that he hates inbred, uneducated, extremist fanatics who preach hate?
The Irony slays me...

wow. seems like a smart family . i particularly thought this quote showed some intelligence:
"Fags eat feces. That's a fact"! Now if only an IED could be planted where these crazy buggers were protesting, God might not have as much reason to hate everyone...

I watched the BBC documentary on these guys, and I can honestly say that's about the only time I ever truely felt that their "freedom of speech" should be taken away. With extreme prejudice.

I know many don't like Michael Moore but this video is related to this thread as Moore goes after the leader of this "church". It is pretty funny, well the second half is funny the first part is depressing.
by the way this may be offensive to some viewers.

Yep, I've seen a lot of those guys around town. Great, great people.
I still think someone is going to crack and kill one of those idiots at some point.
