I’ve herd a lot in the last 10 days or so around our beloved Flames.

Hanafin has a strong market as much as 8 teams involved. Flames ask is significant and this will be a sign and trade deal when it’s all said and done. First + Top Prospect + Additional futures though Calgary MAY have to consider taking on bad money. Teams are offering up impactful youth currently on rosters + futures but nothing “WOW” expect this to be Hot.

Lindholm is “in the oven, will it rise?” I think this is similar to what other people are reporting. Calgary has offered a deal 100% but it’s fair but not what the player is asking… I’ve herd it’s less than Horvat…. Feels like Taylor Hall all over again let’s just hope he doesn’t over play his hand. Conroy is not bluffing and his deadline is approaching… Team heads to Nashville Monday morning. IF a trade comes down it will be significant lots of teams want to know before the first round starts. Extension or not. Seattle, Carolina, Dallas, Columbus…

Toffoli is tough spot. I believe Calgary offered him a short term deal, he’s a pro and will most likely report and not cause a fuss. He doesn’t care where he goes as long as he can compete - Flames will respect this request.

Big Z is also gaining some interest. He’s big, mean and mobile something that was a theme in the playoffs this year. His contract is fair and the return could be a 2nd/3rd rounder and/or a gamble.

Vladar has suitors but everyone is waiting on the Winnipeg storm to end first.

Draft - Simple. Best player available. Flames would love to get into the top 10 without losing 16.

I wonder if Buffalo is content to wait till draft day to make a trade for Hanifin. They might have a couple guys in the draft that they really like with that 13th overall pick. If they aren’t available when the pick comes up, they’ll make the trade for Hanifin with the 13th overall pick. If they the prospects they like are already taken, they might offer something else like a prospect + 1st round pick in next years draft.

The flames can choose to go with another teams offer in the mean time of course but I bet there are no teams with a pick that high that are looking to trade it. Therefore, the flames might be willing to wait and see with Buffalo rather than commit to a trade with someone else.

Seems like the Flames are the one saying either sign this reasonable deal or we would rather move on
