Bo looked like he was admiring his home run and almost ended up thrown out.

Romano has been getting hit hard last 5-7 appearances and been super lucky
It’s funny that our best bullpen guys have eras at almost 3, while every opponent seems to have two or 3 guys with 1.50-2.00 eras and another 3 with 3.00 eras

Love losing to the worst team in the MLB.

Scoreless in 8 of the 9 innings
In the last 4 games we’ve scored in 4 innings out of 36
It’s an embarrassing offense. How does the batting coach have a job

Imagination running wild tonight. This probably makes no sense for so many reasons but how about this for a completely absurd trade idea?
Ohtani for Bichette and Guerrero.
Would the Jays do it?
-you could argue Ohtani is an equally valuable hitter to Bo
-basically you are trading Vladdy for an elite pitcher (the hitting value of Bo and Sho would somewhat equal out)
- this would have to include a signing of Ohtani. And that money would likely equal what we would have had to resign Bo and Vladdy for combined
-Jays can still sign a free agent hitter to fill the lineup gap
Would the Angels do it?
- lose their superstar (who’s leaving anways) but gain two very young, marketable and controllable star players
- middle of the lineup with Bo, Vlad and Trout would be formidable
- have the option to either re sign these guys or flip them for further assets down the road
Total fantasy and would be the largest blockbuster of all time. But was fun to think about, even though very very little chance something like that could work.
Jays fans- you do that if you’re Atkins?

I think we're kind of past taking solace in lists of other teams losing the same night we do.

Haha, they're not "terrible"
They're just not as good as we'd hoped.
Mainly because three key 'core' pieces have taken major steps back this season. (Manoah, Vlad, Kirk)
Plus it doesn't help being in the division we're in, especially now that Baltimore's rebuild seems to be going very well for them so quickly.
If the Jays were in the central they'd have a 2.5 game first place lead instead of being 11 games back and in 4th place.
It's all very disappointing though. The Jays FO/GM must be sweating profusely on a day to day basis lol

I think you do. Simply put, I don't think Vlad recovers to the superstar he was destined to be. He's gotten into some bad habits on his approach and unless he breaks out of it he'll probably be an above average hitter but superstar I'm skeptical of at this point. However, I imagine we'll only get a few more versions of this dual Ohtani. I'd estimate 4 more seasons and he'll have to give up pitching. I dunno - the Jays fan in me says no, but from a business perspective it would be crazy lucrative.
