I really hope he's leaning on Maloney and Nonis right now. He needs their experience to know what's a good deal and what's not.
Finger crossed Connie, we're all pulling for ya.

The rumor guy on Twitter. Glad that Conny is being firm on what he’s willing to sign players for

This was always going to happen and is why Treliving walked away. I hope he screws Toronto up just as bad.

This still really hinges on Lindholm. Retool is more viable if he signs.

I would be shocked if they did, although they have a couple of big injuries apparently rolling over to next season on defense (Ekblad,Montour) but also have a lot of cap space coming available to help them out.

So Toffoli isn’t even a “I’m not going to sign an extension” but rather an actual trade request.

Imagine if they flipped Huberdeau for a 1st rather than signing him and kept Monahan and that 1st. Flames would absolutely be laughing right now. The only ####ty part about this current exodus is the Huberdeau and Kadri contracts. Retain salary and move them out.

I wouldn’t bother retaining. They can be the tank commanders. If they can trade then without retention or paying to do so then do it

Yeah. I think they’ll be fine but it is the Flames and sometimes this team feels cursed

Who cares about next season's cap? It's one year. If you can buy a better return, go for it.
EDIT: Never mind, I saw you were referring to Huberdeau and Kadri.

Haha yeah I can understand that, I'm blown away by what's happening right now with the Flames but ultimately I think this could be a blessing in disguise. The players are doing what the organization didn't want to do. Just have to hope their drafting and scouting is at a high level because picks and prospects should be pouring in soon.

I hope there isn't any pressure from above on Conroy to "right the ship" with similar players coming in to the ones going out instead of stockpiling picks and prospects.

I was hoping we would sell at the deadline when it was painfully obvious things were broken. Love these players for seeing the writing on the wall and forcing this ownership and the management group. This retool stuff was destined to fail so they may have saved us a half decade of wandering the desert.

They'll still force that r word to be retool rather than rebuild.
