I have to completely rethink my strategy. Every single time without fail level 42 kills me.
try dart towers and 'send next level'. dont forget the flyers.

On the Challenge 100 level, watch out for lvl 51. A whole arsonal of fliers while your squirts are busy with the lvl 50 mob scene. Mayham I tell you.

Yeah. Guess I need to change my strategy to get past that part.

I'm not sure I can top the scores on there, at least not with my current strategy.

all you fools are too good for me!
I finally was able to beat the game, but I cant seem to get over 57** points.
I understand that you have to send next level to up points, but I find myself not wanting to do that too often as im waiting on a key thing to finish upgrading.

What all strategies do you guys use?
ive read the forums a lil and someone mentioned juggling. have any of you tried this?

I haven't tried juggling, but it would priobably come in handy. I'm too interested in upgrading to try it. It won't help with the fliers - those are the things that get me. I need to let the maze empty out a bit to get them all, but of course you then lose points.

Alright I broke the top 100!
I'm #86 right now.

I think im just going to forget about the flying boss altogether. I don't think I'll ever get him and continue to get the rest of the things. I would probably get a better score from just hitting next level when I get to them
What do all of you do?

If you click on the person's name you can see the maps they used to get their recorded scores

For the final flying boss, Set up two of the 4th towers right in the vertical crosshairs. Upgrade one all the way, and the other all but one from a total upgrade. When you've done this, make sure that you either have a frost tower nearby (fully upgraded if possible) or that there is not much else out so your squirts can help to take some of the edge off.

PS, in the 100 challenge I've gotten to level 87

I like to do 2 different paths. Then i can close the ends one by one with pellettower's and destroy them also. The creeps have to walk back and forth, and when you time the "send next level" correctly, they are all stacked up and your dart towers have an easy job to finnish them off. in thory, you could just hit the "SNL"- buton all the time, if there wasn't those flying bugs, which have to be dealt with swarm towers, lvl 4.

I saw a story today about this game. link

Quote:
Make a Flash mini-game, let people play it for free, and watch the ad revenue pour in when the site gets 20 million pageviews a month. That’s the option Paul Preece took with his phenomenally popular Desktop Tower Defense, and though he has no professional experience with game development, the Visual Basic programmer is now making, by his estimate, high four figures monthly for his ferociously viral little game.

Hahaha, I am the new "Hard" leader with 6281.

Probably short lived, but this is the first time I lead the pack on a level.

Bloody fun game. Quite addictive.

For everyone that just got over their addiction of this game there is a new version out with new a wepon. Now there is an Ink Tower that squirts ink on the groud and hurts anyone that walks over it. Also they cleaned up the look so it looks more professional.
It also leaves a mark on the items that are upgraded and to what level, so now you don't have to click on them to see. Also you can select a wepon and if you want to mut down lots of them then you can keep putting them down instead of having to go back and selecting them over and over again.
Nice additions.

Also a couple new enemies, dark's, nothing special here, but morphs are cool, they change into 3 or 4 diffrent enemies while fighting them.

Yeah, I noticed that. I've only had a chance to try the new version once so far.

It just shows you don't need a multi-million dollar budget to make a fun and profitable game.
