If I'm Conroy I'm talking to Huberdeau and Weegar as well. Likely going to have to eat a lot of cap to unload Huberdeau, but if the Flames are going full rebuild (or whatever you want to call it) you gotta go all in.

Would say the same about Markstrom, but think he's radioactive at the moment. Maybe a trade deadline option if he can return to form. Doubtful givent he roster that is likely to be in front of him, though.

Treliving leaving doesn't belong on that list, the buck stopped with him on that team he built with no long term deals for most of the core players, with coaches he hired that failed and that also folded up when the going got tough. He's the architect of the current mess. Though I'm with the majority opinion that it will actually be exciting. Rebuilding or retooling in the cap era is way quicker than the young guns era if done well

I don't think eating cap on Huberdeau and Kadri would be worth it. They can ride out the rebuild unless someone takes them at full contract.
