Just for craps and laughs, let's say Philly actually wants those players:

1) offer sheet McLeod at maybe $1.5-$1.75M - would cost a 3rd and the Oilers probably can't match
2) wait until Yamamoto is bought out, then sign him for $750K

You get McLeod and Yamamoto for a 3rd, for less money than Yamamoto's current contract. And you keep Konecny and Seeler.

That's how mind numbingly ridiculous Spector's proposal is.

i would wear my autographed gretzky jersey - just becuz i know how much it annoys my oilers buddies that me of all people - one who loathes the oilers so much - has such a prized oilers jersey!


i think what also really annoys my buddies is that it's not even up in my games room - it's in my crawlspace. i've told them i am considering bringing it out the crawlspace and it could hang in the games room bathroom... at least then i can leave the fan on to help get rid of the oilers stink!
