How did we end up with these manchild overlords?
The transition from feudalism to democracy was supposed to stop these kinds of people either never ending up in power, or to ensure that their reign ends if they go stupid or insane.
Zuckerberg isn't even 40. I'll likely be stuck with this guy wielding enormous global power for the rest of my life. At least Musk seems like someone who'll find a way to self destruct soonish.

Ah.. I think Zuck's losing interest. The whole Metaverse thing has been a giant whiff so I'm sure they'll try to be the 2nd best AI chatbot but they need some kind of product to tie to it - its going to be hard to monetize that.

Inman Grant said Twitter had 28 days to show it was serious about tackling the problem or face fines of Aus$700,000 (US$475,000) for every day it missed the deadline.

Did Twitter just shut itself down against anybody trying to view tweets without logging in? I noticed you couldn’t view users replies without logging in, now it’s impossible to view users’ tweets or view links to tweets.

This is happening to me too. Doesn't this already happen for Instagram and Facebook? You only have very limited access unless you login, no?

I guess. But you used to be able click on a posted tweet and you could see the surrounding context and discussion. I don’t think Instagram does that. At least it doesn’t take you to a login screen immediately. Not sure about Facebook.
